No. 1 ... West Allis Central's victory of Wayzata, Minn.

Wayzata came into the game with a 9-0 record, a No. 13 ranking nationally by Max Preps and a pair of NCAA Division I players in [player_tooltip player_id='1560867' first='Christian' last='Wiggins'] (Iowa State) and [player_tooltip player_id='1560778' first='Nolen' last='Anderson'] (Minnesota). West Allis Central also had a strong resume entering the contest -- a 6-0 record, a No. 2 ranking among WIAA Division 1 schools in the WBCA/Prep Hoops poll and a Division I recruit of its own in [player_tooltip player_id='2045256' first='Yusef' last='Gray Jr.'] (Iowa State). The game ended up being one of the best in the 20-year history of the WBY Shootout. In a back-and-forth game played before a sellout crowd at the John Buuck Fieldhouse on the campus of Concordia University in Mequon, West Allis Central got some clutch plays from Gray and junior [player_tooltip player_id='2194435' first='Max' last='Jones'] to pull out a memorable and exciting 67-64 victory. Gray scored 27 points and made seven foul shots in the second half while Jones connected on two three-point baskets in the final 2 minutes and 30 seconds to help West Allis Central rally for the victory. Senior [player_tooltip player_id='2411140' first='Kevin' last='Pittman'] (6-10) also played an enormous role for coach Dave Mlachnik's squad. He scored just three points, but he's stellar rebounding and defensive presence near the basket were big assets for the Bulldogs. Wiggins had a strong game for Wayzata with 23 points while Minnesota-Duluth recruit [player_tooltip player_id='1560807' first='Isaac' last='Olmstead'] added 22. West Allis Central defenders did a nice job of guarding Anderson, holding the 6-foot-8 wing to just 13 points.

No. 2 ... Notre Dame's double-overtime win over Xavier

The Tritons of Notre Dame appeared to have the game with Xavier in hand after grabbing a lead in overtime when [player_tooltip player_id='2140873' first='Austin' last='Hendricks'] made mid-range jump and was fouled in the act of shooting with just under seven seconds left. He completed the three-point play to give Notre Dame a 75-73 lead. Xavier inbounded the ball and dribbled across half court before calling a timeout with just :01.9 left. Coach Matt Klarner of Xavier drew up a great play that would yield impressive results during the timeout. Xavier senior Kyle Bleck inbounded the ball just inside the halfcourt line, lobbed a pass toward the basket that was caught by junior [player_tooltip player_id='2434543' first='Logan' last='Ramczyk'], who had sprinted toward the basket, got a screen from [player_tooltip player_id='2509443' first='Caden' last='Schuler'] and hauled in the ball under the basket. He jumped back to bank in a shot and was fouled on the play. With the scored tied at 75, Ramczyk's potential game-winning foul shot rattled in and out, forcing a second overtime between the two former Fox Valley Christian Conference rivals. Notre Dame wound up making some foul shots and getting a bucket from [player_tooltip player_id='2400119' first='Jack' last='Warden'] in the second overtime to emerge with an 81-77 triumph. Even though Ramczyk did not make that foul shot, he talented 6-foot-2 junior guard still managed to tie his career high with 33 points, including all 10 for Xavier in the first overtime. Notre Dame had five players score in double figures and got a very strong defensive performance from junior guard [player_tooltip player_id='2140873' first='Austin' last='Hendricks'] to record its third win in six games.

No. 3 ... An unlikely second-half showing from The Prairie School

Concordia University might want to invest in some gallons of paint during the Christmas break to freshen up one of its locker rooms after coach Jason Atanasoff blistered off most of the paint in the room during halftime of the Hawks' game with Brookfield Academy. Playing a lackluster first half that resulted in a 42-21 deficit, The Prairie School looked lost in the water during the first 18 minutes. [player_tooltip player_id='2140952' first='Lazar' last='Djilas'] was scoring in the lane, [player_tooltip player_id='2614872' first='Eli' last='Petropoulos'] made three triples and [player_tooltip player_id='3019164' first='Ethan' last='Potthast'] added two triples and eight points as Brookfield Academy came out hot and played with inspiration and togetherness to take its commanding halftime lead. But, inspired by a loud and pointed halftime talk from Atanasoff, the Hawks rallied with a second half that will be remembered for a long time. Turning up the defensive pressure, sharing the ball, hitting the glass and making some big shots, The Prairie School first staggered Brookfield Academy with an 18-0 run to start the second half. The Hawks then delivered the knockout punch, taking the lead for good on a baseline three-point basket from [player_tooltip player_id='2508284' first='Dalton' last='Ahlensdorf']. Ahlensdorf's shot gave The Prairie School the lead for good at 46-44 with 10 minutes left. The Prairie School outscored the Blue Knights 46-12 after intermission for a 67-54 victory, as big a turnaround from one half to another you'll find anywhere.

No. 4 ... Appleton North sharp in win over Homestead

The scoreboard says Appleton North beat Homestead by just 12 points at 70-58. Though the game was somewhat close for all 36 minutes, make no mistake as Appleton North controlled the contest from the get go. The Lightning controlled the tempo, playing strong defense and worked well together while searching for high-percentage shots. Coach Chris Kellett's squad had four players score in double figures, led by [player_tooltip player_id='1561874' first='Nathan' last='Ramus'] with 19 and [player_tooltip player_id='2447768' first='Matt' last='Rosplochowski'] with 18. North's strong defense held Homestead to just 58 points, well below the Highlanders' season average of 82.0 ppg.

No. 5 ... De Pere holds off determined Milwaukee Academy of Science

Highly regarded De Pere had to work very hard for its 84-81 win over defending WIAA Division 3 state champion Milwaukee Academy of Science. Entering the contest, De Pere had a 4-0 record and a No. 3 ranking among Division 1 schools in the state while Academy of Science had lost by nine points to Racine St. Catherine's two days earlier to fall to 5-3. But the Novas got strong outings from juniors [player_tooltip player_id='2140923' first='Gavin' last='Valeri'] (22 points) and [player_tooltip player_id='3218220' first='D'Anthony' last='Brown'] (17 points) to push the Redbirds hard until the final buzzer sounded. First-year Academy of Science coach Raymont McElroy has put together a good schedule for the Independent Novas and a tight outing with a team as strong as De Pere should only help MAS as we move toward the playoffs in March.

No. 6 ... Beaver Dam's Salettel scorches nets for 27 points

Senior [player_tooltip player_id='2391088' first='EJ' last='Salettel'] put together two very impressive performances for Beaver Dam during the Beavers' two wins at the WBY Shootout. After tossing in 26 points in a 76-65 win over Waterford on Saturday, Salettel went for 27 points in a 78-56 triumph over Ashwaubenon on Monday. The 6-foot-3 wing guard had five three-point baskets and swished all eight of his foul shots in the win over Ashwaubenon. Salettel's size, versatility in scoring and competitive nature make him one of the state's top uncommitted class of 2026 prospects in Wisconsin.

No. 7 ... Living Word Lutheran puts it all together in win over Columbus Catholic

Coach Jake Holton had been waiting. Sometimes with patience. Other times, with impatience. The third-year Living Word Lutheran coach was in search of a complete game from his young but talented squad. He finally got it when the Timberwolves handed Columbus Catholic its first loss of the season with a convincing 73-60 victory. Led by the strong play of sophomore guard [player_tooltip player_id='2509457' first='Jordan' last='Evans'], who scored 21 points, and inspired play from senior wing [player_tooltip player_id='2968954' first='Gavin' last='Weissenburger'], who matched Evans' point total, Living Word Lutheran overcame a 26-25 halftime deficit with a dominating second-half showing. Junior [player_tooltip player_id='2509455' first='Ryde' last='Ehley'] also played a key role for Living Word Lutheran as he scored 14 of his 18 points in the second half to help spark the comeback.

No. 8 ... Oshkosh North's seniors lead way in win over Dominican

Oshkosh North led Dominican 32-30 at intermission and then slowly pulled away for an 81-67 triumph, thanks, in large part, to its seniors. Mankato State recruit [player_tooltip player_id='1973116' first='Bryce' last='Ott'] (22 points) led a senior parade of scoring stars for the [program_tooltip program_id='2075852' first='Spartans' last=''] that also included [player_tooltip player_id='2784342' first='Jackson' last='Anderson'] (17 points), [player_tooltip player_id='2824968' first='Tylan' last='Lister'] (17 points), Kallum Larson-Poeschel (14 points) and [player_tooltip player_id='2498969' first='Owen' last='Weber'] (six points). Seniors accounted for all but five of the points Oshkosh North put up on the scoreboard while also playing well in Oshkosh North's 1-3-1 zone defense.

No. 9 ... Kettle Moraine Lutheran dominates Iola-Scandinavia

Kettle Moraine Lutheran took a 32-11 lead into the locker room and kept up its unselfish play in the second half in notching a 69-37 win over Iola-Scandinavia. With 11 of its 13 players denting the scoring column, KML was simply dominant while recording its sixth win in nine outings. Senior forward Henry Bednear (6-4) finished with 20 points to lead the way for coach Josh Lindner's squad, which returns to Glacier Trails Conference play January 6 by hosting Kewaskum.

No. 10 ...
