Top Five Preview: Region Eleven

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>We are less than two weeks away from the first games of the 2025-26 KHSAA basketball season. The excitement level for this year is high. This is the first time in a few years that we haven't had a few teams that are clearly ahead of the pack in the race for the state title. I am going to be previewing all 16 regions by breaking down the top 5 teams and the top 5 college prospects in each region. Being a top 5 college prospect and being a top 5 player in the region are not the same thing. But the competition in the 11th is very stiff this year. DeMarcus is one of the toughest players to guard in the region and has the potential to average 25+ points per game this year on a very talented Douglass team. He accounts for most of the offense for Station and plays with the ball in his hands most of the time. Owens is deadly with the ball in his hands and excels at getting into the paint. Don't be surprised if Amari is a top ten scorer in Kentucky this year. Stephan doesn't dominate the ball like some other players and is also a contributor on the rebounding side of things. Thanks to his blend of size and skill, Everett is a mismatch for opposing teams. He tends to settle for jumpers more than he should on offense but Stuart has the ability to put the ball on the floor and attack the rim too.
