Southern California high school basketball teams are just about a week away from the official tip-off of the 2025-26 season. We spent the fall watching team and individual events to get the best read on the top teams and players in the region. We continue our SoCal Top 25 reveal with a breakdown of the teams ranked No. 11-15.

15. Inglewood

2024-25 Record: 26-7 overall; 7-0 Ocean League (1st)

Key Returners: [player_tooltip player_id='1956461' first='Jason' last='Crowe, Jr.'] (6-3 | PG | Sr. | Committed: Missouri); [player_tooltip player_id='2815160' first='David' last='Conerly'] (6-6 | WF | Jr.); Cayim White (6-0 | G | Sr.); Kevin Singleton (6-2 | G | Jr.)

Key Newcomers: [player_tooltip player_id='2916738' first='Chris' last='Frazier'] (6-3 | G | Jr.); Matthew Gibbs-Martinez (5-11 | G | Sr. )

2025-26 Outlook: The Sentinels are always a tough opponent when [player_tooltip player_id='1956461' first='Jason' last='Crowe, Jr.'] is on the floor. The high-scoring lefty is poised to overtake Tounde Yessoufou as the all-time leading scorer in California state history this season and his ability to take over a game by scoring in bunches allows Inglewood to keep pace with anyone. Aside from Crowe's scoring exploits, the Sentinels' all-out pressure defense often overwhelms opponents into turnovers, bad shots and poor decisions, which lead to quick and easy offense on the other end. Look for Conerly, a talented 6-foot-6 wing, to take a leap forward in his development and production with White, a sharpshooter from three, and Singleton, a shifty downhill attacker, providing even more offensive firepower for Inglewood.

14. Roosevelt

2024-25 Record: 35-2 overall; 7-0 Big VII League (1st)

Key Returners: [player_tooltip player_id='2828496' first='Cameron' last='Anderson'] (6-4 | G | So.); [player_tooltip player_id='1956522' first='Jackson' last='Haggins'] (6-2 | G | Sr. | Committed: Montana); [player_tooltip player_id='2888678' first='Christian' last='Benjamin'] (6-8 | F | Sr.); [player_tooltip player_id='2815162' first='Carson' last='Butler'] (6-8 | F | Jr.); [player_tooltip player_id='2750246' first='Darius' last='Dixson'] (5-9 | PG | So.)

Key Newcomers: [player_tooltip player_id='2436261' first='Sloane' last='Harris'] (6-2 | G | Jr.)

2025-26 Outlook: It's been a whirlwind offseason for the Mustangs following its 2024-25 run to CIF Southern Section and State Open Division championships. The Big Three of Brayden Burries (Arizona), Isaac Williamson (UNLV) and Myles Walker (Nevada) are off to their college destinations, the team's best returning player - Anderson - departed for St. John Bosco only to return a month later and longtime head coach Steve Singleton stepped down in October. Despite all of that movement, Roosevelt has the talent, and leadership under new head coach Johnny Dukes, to remain competitive among the region's best teams. The Mustangs return Anderson, one of the best sophomore prospects in the state, along with two other starters in Haggins and Benjamin. Dixson and Butler both saw big varsity minutes last season and Harris, a transfer from Etiwanda, was one of the biggest moves of the offseason, but he will have to wait the CIF mandated Sit Out Period before he gets on the floor.

13. JSerra

2024-25 Record: 24-11 overall; 6-4 Trinity League (3rd)

Key Returners: [player_tooltip player_id='2750220' first='Ryan' last='Doane'] (6-9 | F/C | So.); [player_tooltip player_id='2435392' first='Earl' last='Bryson'] (6-2 | G | Sr.); [player_tooltip player_id='2435391' first='Godschoice' last='Eboigbodin'] (6-5 | F | Jr.); Micah Cunningham (6-3 | G | So.); [player_tooltip player_id='2763307' first='Isaiah' last='Hill'] (6-5 | WF | So.)

Key Newcomers: [player_tooltip player_id='1956616' first='Jaden' last='Bailes'] (6-2 | G | Sr.); Sibin Gujanicic (6-7 | F | Jr.)

2025-26 Outlook: Coach Keith Wilkinson brings a good mix of veteran and youthful returners to blend with the players he brought in via the transfer portal. Doane, a skilled four/five man is due for a big breakout season while international transfer Sibin Gujanicic adds a layer of physicality, toughness and skill in the front court to pair with Doane. Bailes, a Seattle-commit who transferred in from San Diego-based St. Augustine, brings an immediate scoring punch to the Lions back court to pair with Bryson, a defensive-minded point guard who plays with high levels of effort and energy.

12. Windward

2024-25 Record: 22-8 overall, 5-3 Gold Coast League (3rd)

Key Returners: [player_tooltip player_id='2436297' first='Davey' last='Harris'] (6-6 | WF | Jr.); [player_tooltip player_id='2815219' first='Asher' last='Haloossim'] (6-1 | PG | Jr.); [player_tooltip player_id='2436274' first='Jordan' last='Hampton'] (6-1 | G | Jr.) [player_tooltip player_id='2436303' first='Djordan' last='Hall'] (6-1 | G | Jr.); [player_tooltip player_id='2948289' first='Gavin' last='George'] (6-0 | G | So.)

Key Newcomers: Zion Willis (6-6 | F | Jr.)

2025-26 Outlook: The Wildcats will play a free-flowing and high-octane style of offense that suits their roster of skilled guards and wings. Harris had a breakout spring and summer which led to him being one of the most sought after prospects out west in the junior class. The 6-foot-6 wing is the definition of versatility with his combination of perimeter scoring, playmaking and elite athleticism when attacking the rim. Haloossim and Hampton also showed major improvements during the club and high school off-season which will be key for execution and pushing the tempo in transition.

11. La Mirada

2024-25 Record: 25-7 overall; 8-0 Gateway League (1st)

Key Returners: [player_tooltip player_id='2194355' first='Gene' last='Roebuck'] (6-5 | F | Jr.); [player_tooltip player_id='2131784' first='King-Riley' last='Owens'] (6-1 | G | Sr.); [player_tooltip player_id='2815179' first='Santiago' last='Lopez'] (6-7 | F | Jr.); Tristan Partida (5-8 | G | Sr.)

Key Newcomers: Cisco Muñoz (5-11 | G | Jr.); [player_tooltip player_id='2194707' first='Jordyn' last='Houston'] (6-6 | F | Jr.)

2025-26 Outlook: What makes La Mirada such a tough team to go against is its combination of offensive and defensive preparation, execution and toughness on both ends of the floor. The Matadores add a ton of skill to go along with the intangible things their coaching staff demands of its players, as well, with Roebuck, an All-CIF wing and one of the best scorers in the state regardless of class. Roebuck's blend of shot-making, size, physicality and basketball IQ make him one of the toughest covers in the state. The transfer additions of Muñoz and Houston - who are both eligible immediately - add more scoring and versatility to La Mirada's front and back court arsenal. The Matadores will be tested right away with road games against Notre Dame, Eastvale Roosevelt and a neutral site game against NorCal power Archbishop Riordan.
