Cameron Anderson Cameron Anderson 5'11" | SG AZ is a dynamic playmaker, especially on the offensive end. He operates with good pace and knows when to punch the gas pedal once a lane opens up. From there, he showcases solid finishing ability and is also capable of getting the job done at the free-throw line. Defensively, he pesters opponents with his lateral quickness and energy, occasionally creating or forcing turnovers.

High-IQ guard who did a great job creating offense for his teammates, consistently making the right reads and keeping the offense flowing. Played with strong pace and composure, never forcing the action while making everybody’s job easier around him. Shot the three well and showed a true team-first approach throughout the weekend.

Anderson is a 6-foot-4 combo guard that can play on or off the ball on offense, is a solid perimeter defender, and averaged 15 points per game at the Invitational with a personal high of 26 points in a win over OGP 16s. Anderson plays with good pace and feel for the game with the ball in his hands, makes great use of the double-crossover to create space from his defender, is accurate with the 3-ball off the dribble or with fluid movement off the ball to get open looks off the catch, and is a creative finisher at the basket off the bounce. Anderson has the size and handle to survey the offense in the half-court setting, the vision and decision making to make the right reads, and the moves to break his defender down and the play making to find teammates off the drive and kick out pass. Anderson has the wingspan and footspeed to be a high-level perimeter defender that routinely turns defense to offense. He will be a core piece for the new look Mustangs of Roosevelt, who graduated the bulk of its scoring from last year’s state championship squad.

A long wiry guard with speed. He was good in transition hustling up to fill lanes for layups, and pushing the ball up using his speed, after rebounding. He has good strides, looking to pass, but will go coast to coast if there’s an opening. He sets up along the perimeter, and in the corners ready to knock down 3-pointers. Standing 6’4 at the 16u level, he helped rebound. He has good length, takes up passing lanes along with lateral movement, and foot speed to defend out on the perimeter.
