Lual’s blend of fluidity and explosive athleticism, combined with his size, length and ball skills, make him one of the highest upside prospects in the west. The wiry junior wing covers ground quickly in transition as his long strides and extension to the rim made him one of the smoothest transition slashers and finishers in the gym. Lual showed good timing and feel as a cutter in half-court offense and scored on numerous back-cuts throughout the event.

Kur Lual (pictured) had a dominant performance at the Pangos All-American Camp thanks to his ability to create off the dribble, shot-making, effort, and strong defensive play. I caught his first game, where he dropped 27 points and connected on five 3-pointers. He then continued to pose problems for defenders, draining pull-up jumpers and throwing down dunks. Beyond his scoring, he stays locked in on the defensive end and isn’t an easy guy to get around. Expect more buzz around his name in the very near future, as he has a great feel for the game to go with his size and athleticism.

Kur Lual is as efficient as they come. In the first game on the first day, he scored an event high 29 points on 9 for 15 shooting. He was the leading scorer for the entire event, averaging 22 per game shooting just above 50% from the field. the 6’8″ guard is a natural basketball player with a game that translates beyond his years. He put his IQ on both ends in full display throughout the event, being a willing passer without sitting on the ball too long on offense. Defensively, he proved to be as aggressive of an on-ball defender as anybody without committing “silly” fouls and used his wingspan and stride to make it tough on opposing ball handlers to dribble and pass. I really enjoyed watching Kur throughout this Pangos camp.

Ker Lual of Vegas Elite is a dynamic player who is a difficult cover for most defenders. He can hit the gas pedal to get to where he wants to go, and his height allows him to shoot over opponents. His elite athleticism translates defensively as well, where he consistently pesters opponents with his long arms and active hands. All in all, he’s a very solid prospect, and I like the way he competes.
