HS Fall Invite: Tuesday's Standout Wings

ENCINO, Calif. — The High School Fall Invite brought together a strong collection of high school and prep school teams and prospects and Tuesday's action at Crespi high school was loaded with college coaches from all levels. We were in the gym for all six games and below is our break down of the standout wings.    Henry, one of the top uncommitted seniors in the country, had a bevy of coaches watching on the sidelines and he delivered a strong performance. The wiry 6-foot-7 wing was at his best when stretching the floor to the three-point line off the catch and when using his combination of size, length, athleticism and ball skills to attack the rim on straight-line drives and as a slasher in transition.     After a summer of rumors swirling that Rolle was going to be on the move, he officially transferred to Sierra Canyon and it looks to be a seamless fit with the Trailblazers. The 6-foot-5 wing is one of the state's best slashers and finishers and he was on the rim consistently during Tuesday's game. Rolle plays with non-stop energy, is really tough to keep in front when he gets downhill in transition and showed good control and touch on his drive and floater game in half-court situations.     Williams is a "jack-of-all-trades" type of wing whose offensive and defensive versatility make him an intriguing next-level prospect. The 6-foot-3 senior is most effective when attacking the rim in transition and also impacts the game offensively as a driver and cutter in half-court offense where he initiated, absorbed and finished through contact around the rim. Williams flashed an improved perimeter shot off the catch with time and space.     Lowery fits the bill of a high motor and energy two-way wing. The 6-foot-4 junior is in constant attack mode offensively and uses that same type of effort defensively to disrupt opposing ball handlers with his ability to pressure and contain the ball. Lowery is very effective when creating turnovers and capitalizing on the other end with his ability to get to the rim and finish or earn a paint touch and find an open teammate. He's also a prospect who doesn't shy away from the dirty work - offensive rebounds, chasing down deflections - to earn an extra possession for his team.     Rachal went from relative unknown to mid-to-high major prospect over the course of one summer and he made it clear as to why he had that meteoric rise. The 6-foot-7 wing is your prototypical "three-and-D" type of wing with his combination of a smooth shooting stroke to go along with his explosive vertical athleticism and physical tools that project to the highest levels. Rachal was confident taking the open catch-and-shoot three and showed good IQ and balance with his off-ball movement, shot prep and elevation on his jumper.     Lual's blend of fluidity and explosive athleticism, combined with his size, length and ball skills, make him one of the highest upside prospects in the west. The wiry junior wing covers ground quickly in transition as his long strides and extension to the rim made him one of the smoothest transition slashers and finishers in the gym. Lual showed good timing and feel as a cutter in half-court offense and scored on numerous back-cuts throughout the event.
