Rachal’s meteoric rise in the national ranking and recruiting circles was something we haven’t seen in quite some time. The hyper-athletic 6-foot-7 senior went from relative unknown to, what some ranking services consider, a top 50 prospect in the country. Rachal, who committed to Utah State, has loads of upside to go along with a modern wing skill-set that includes elite catch-and-shoot ability from three-point range and explosive vertical athleticism to score at the rim on lob opportunities in transition and half-court offense.

Rachal went from relative unknown to mid-to-high major prospect over the course of one summer and he made it clear as to why he had that meteoric rise. The 6-foot-7 wing is your prototypical “three-and-D” type of wing with his combination of a smooth shooting stroke to go along with his explosive vertical athleticism and physical tools that project to the highest levels. Rachal was confident taking the open catch-and-shoot three and showed good IQ and balance with his off-ball movement, shot prep and elevation on his jumper.

Rachal was one of the biggest breakout players of the spring and summer playing on the Puma circuit with Team CPSA. The 6-foot-7 wing/forward adds an elite slashing and finishing threat to the Notre Dame offense with his explosive quick-twitch athleticism standing out as his most impactful trait. Rachal showed plenty of flashes of perimeter offensive ability, as well, with a clean catch-and-shoot three-point shot. Rachal was previously at Los Angeles-based DNA Prep.
