Rolle continued to show more layers to his offensive game at the Border League. The athletic, slashing 6-foot-5 off-guard made plays and scored baskets in transition as a lane-filler, cutter and downhill driver but he showed more comfort and confidence stepping into catch-and-shoot threes. Rolle has all the physical, athletic and wing tools to be a major piece at the high major level and the perimeter shooting consistency is the next step to realize that potential.

After a summer of rumors swirling that Rolle was going to be on the move, he officially transferred to Sierra Canyon and it looks to be a seamless fit with the Trailblazers. The 6-foot-5 wing is one of the state’s best slashers and finishers and he was on the rim consistently during Tuesday’s game. Rolle plays with non-stop energy, is really tough to keep in front when he gets downhill in transition and showed good control and touch on his drive and floater game in half-court situations.

Rolle made the move from Heritage Christian to the defending state and CIF Southern Section Open Division champions and brings with him the exact offensive profile that makes the Trailblazers so tough to beat. The 6-foot-5 off-guard/wing has the fluidity, ball skills, strength and vertical athleticism to get to the rim and score at the rim in a variety of ways. Rolle can also consistently knock down mid-range jumpers nad off-catch threes.

Rolle’s physical and athletic tools made him a scorer who was difficult to keep out of the lane and away from the rim. The 6-foot-5 wing, who has been one of the biggest stock-rising prospects on the west coast this summer, used his fluidity, length and savvy ball-handling ability to great angles off the dribble and get by his initial defender with ease. When met by help or rim protectors, Rolle’s extension to and touch around the rim took over as he finished off his paint touches at a high percentage. Rolle averaged 17 points on nearly 61 percent from the field.

Rolle looked like one of the top wings on the west coast in this game as the 6’5” 2028 prospect with good length impacted winning on straight line takes. The athleticism pops finishing above the rim, utilizing his elite second jump on the offensive glass, and being a rangy defender. Rolle had an efficient night of 12 points (5-8 FG) and 10 rebounds.

Rolle’s breakout sophomore season has carried into the summer entering his junior year with flashes of elite upside coupled with high level production against top-shelf competition. Rolle boasts a long, wiry 6-foot-4 frame with fluid athleticism, smooth feel for the game and a knack for scoring around the rim. His long strides lend to his ability to blow-by defenders with limited bounces while his ability to finish through contact keeps his efficiency high as an at-rim finisher. Rolle jumped from No. 21 to No. 3.

Rolle made the move from Alemany to Heritage Christian and immediately added a wing scorer and playmaker to the Warriors’ lineup. At 6-feet-3, Rolle has proved to be an off-bounce and off-catch perimeter shooting threat who can also use his straight-line driving ability to attack closeouts and score at the rim. I think Rolle has a lot of potential to develop into good perimeter defender based on his positional size, length and athleticism.
