As more and more prospects go off of the board and the high school season draws nearer it is time to run back a recurring series here at Prep Hoops Indiana where we highlight some of the top uncommitted prospects at each position. These are players that definitely can play at the college level, and many of them have interest already, but remain uncommitted at this time. Here are six guards that college coaches need to have eyes on heading into the Indiana High School Basketball season.

At least in terms of what we know, Fountain's recruitment has remained relatively quiet. However, he is a veteran guard from a Carmel High School program that regularly turns out college-level talent. The simple fact that he has played in as many varsity games as he has for the Greyhounds should have small college coaches interested. Fountain is a 6'0" lefty guard that is a catch-and-shoot threat off of the ball and a very good passer with the ball in his hands. He will have a good understanding of defensive principles from day one and the ball won't stick in his hands offensively.

Harris led Arsenal Tech in scoring as a sophomore before transferring to Crispus Attucks as a junior. He had a fine season with the Tigers, but certainly didn't have the same statistical output. Now, Harris has returned to the Arsenal Tech program for his senior season and is ready to make a splash once agin. The 5'11" guard is an aggressive driver and is able to create his own shot from multiple levels on the floor. Any small college program looking for a dynamic playmaker that can add a scoring punch in the backcourt should take a look at Harris.

Johnson holds an offer from Goshen and has visited a few Division III programs so his recruitment has some traction, but small college programs should continue to be on this 6'2" guard from Northridge High School. He shoots it very well from beyond the arc and handles it well enough to offer some secondary playmaking in the backcourt. Look for him to have a big senior year for what should, once again, be a very good Northridge team.

One of two Rhodes twins that have been impact players in the Crown Point High School backcourt for a couple of seasons now, Kingston is an explosive ball handler with strength and quickness to help make up for his 5'8" stature. He will be the primary ball handler for what could be the preseason #1 team in the state this season. A handful of small college programs have shown interest in Rhodes, but his options remain open. Prep Hoops Indiana was at Crown Point open gym on Monday, October 6th and Rhodes played very well showcasing his two-way ability in the backcourt.

When you have two of the best guards in the state in the class behind you it can make it hard to get the opportunities necessary for college coaches to recognize your talent. Fishers High School has had an elite-level backcourt throughout Williams' career. He started to factor in the equation last season as a junior and now will be a primary rotation piece as a senior. The 6'1" guard is super athletic, is a dangerous straight line driver, and will be an impactful defender at the next level from day one. Williams may continue to fly under-the-radar, but he could be a steal at the small college level.

With so much talent on this Terre Haute North High School team it is easy for a guy or two to fly a bit under-the-radar. Woelfle was the second leading scorer on a 21-6 Regional Championship team last season averaging 10.2 points and a team-leading 3.4 assists. The 5'10" guard is a good perimeter shooter, but is at his best as a driver and playmaker for others. His non-stop motor and communication on the floor are intangibles that translate well to the next level.
