This past Saturday, I spent my entire afternoon and night at Dana Barros Basketball Club in Stoughton, MA, taking in the talent from the Hoop Group Jam Fest. There was tons of talent present, and as always it was impossible to watch every kid from every high school division.

Here are some junior wings and forwards who impressed.

Holness – the clear primary creator for the Boston Warriors – has an intriguing set of skills and physical tools. The 6-foot-3 combo guard has great positional length and size for his age but also has some really interesting offensive ability. The southpaw can finish at the rim with contact using both hands, and he has the handle needed to get two feet in the paint consistently. He also makes nice decisions for himself and his teammates once he gets to the nail. Some added strength would be really big for his development, but he should be one of BB&N's key players this season.

Cautela is a relentless attacker who got into the lane consistently on Saturday. The 6-foot guard is in great shape and uses his excellent conditioning to beat opposing guards down the floor in transition and even after made baskets. He's always going north to south and can also knock down the three ball, so he's pretty difficult to stay in front of defensively. Cautela also works his behind off on both ends and does all of the little things for his squad. The junior should get big minutes for a talented Lexington High School team this season.

It doesn't matter what the score of the game is or what time of day it is, TJ Allen is playing with toughness and aggression at all times. The 6-foot-2 combo guard is a total bulldog on both ends and operates like an NFL running back on the floor. He does an amazing job keeping his line on drives and is a relentless rim attacker, so he's tough to go against for 32 minutes. Defensively, he competes like a madman and has really special hands and lateral quickness. He should get tons of minutes for Darrow this season and will be getting looks from a variety of scholarship coaches. A more consistent shot would improve his recruitment.

Inthirath is an absolute joy to watch on the basketball floor. Though he's only 5-foot-8 on a good day, the junior guard handled 94 feet of pressure quite well against a quick, athletic and ferocious BABC squad. He's incredibly difficult to trap because of his quickness; his first step is amazing and he has the ball on a string, which combined with his proximity to the ground makes him impossible to take the ball from. Inthirath should get minutes for Ansonia High School this season, but height will likely limit his recruitment at the D3 level.

Ivy is new to New England and is going to make waves this high school season. The 6-foot-3 guard is playing for Middlesex Magic and fits right in with their system — he shoots it well from three, he passes it well, he attacks closeouts decisively and effectively, and he defends with intensity and fight. He's bigger and stronger than you think and is probably still developing his body. He'll be a key player for Lawrence Academy this season and already holds a D1 offer from Stanford.
