-The consistency in Owinje's game is translating to being recognized by scouts on a regular basis this year and this weekend was no different. Owinje continues to serve as a shooter that can space the floor but has also made improvements to his physique to more effectively attack closeouts. He serves as a great connector for his team from the wings but is also making plays for teammates off the bounce and helping out his bigs on the glass. He played well in limited playing time (coach cleared the bench once they went up 25) scoring on a nice cut for the reverse lay, hit two C+S 3s, and ripped through from the wing before getting downhill and hitting the floater through the center of the net. His attention to detail defensively as a weakside shot-blocker that has also become adept at stripping opponents of the ball on layup attempts only adds to his value as a prospect. Expect LM coaches that have been sniffing around to pull the trigger this winter as they see the value that he brings to his team.

-Love the role that Chase is playing in for the Cadets as a Draymond type that can defend multiple positions, rebound, and pass at a pretty high level. The unsigned senior had a nice lob finish in transition, jumped a passing lane for a steal and kicked ahead to a teammate for a layup, hit a runner off glass, executed a perfect euro step to score past the defender in transition, and had a perfect backdoor cut behind the defense for the lay off the window out of a set for SJC. Chase sees the floor well and has enough handle to take his matchup off the bounce to create for his teammates. If he can continue finishing at a high level around the basket, running the floor in transition, and being disruptive defensively--I expect college coaches to see that production translating to their level and getting involved in his recruitment. One of the most impactful players in the area whose contributions don't always show up in the stat sheet.

-Didn't stat his other matchup but Carpenter was a standout in both of Sunday's contests because of how much his energy impacts the game. Carpenter is a strong, bouncy athlete that has found a nice role within the Eagles' offense as a wing that hits the glass extremely hard, guards multiple positions, and moves effectively off the ball. The follow-through on his jumper is more straight line and the lift on his shot has improved pretty dramatically even since the scholastic live periods-- as shown by a 3 point jumper from the top of the key that hit nothing but net. He's being much more decisive in his downhill slashing and is playing through contact at a higher level. He will have to create his own offense on the glass and with his off-ball movement and earn a starter's role on the defensive end of the floor this season but should fill in nicely as a top-3 option for the Eagles next season as several key pieces of the backcourt are set to graduate in 2026.

-Highland's pickup of Fitzgerald this summer was one of the more unheralded moves but should be one of the most impactful transfers in the area. Fitzgerald gives the Hawks a floor spacing W/F tweener that can block shots, finish plays above the rim, and be disruptive defensively by guarding multiple positions. He did all of the above on Sunday, generating most of his own offense off the glass but also knocking down his shooting opportunities when the ball found him on the perimeter. Fitzgerald is also a willing screener, can finish with either hand rolling to the rim, and is a good connector on the wing. Believe there is a good amount of untapped upside for him as a rising junior prospect that is willing to complete whatever tasks his team needs from him to win ball games.

-Aguolu was one of the few prospects that looked like he belonged athletically on a floor shared with Clinton Grace's fleet of athletic guards and wings. Aguolu relentlessly attacked closeouts to finish above the rim, had an acrobatic lay off the backboard, knocked down a face up 3, ripped through from the corner and scored with the inside hand off the window with his back to the basket, and had an explosive help side block off the backboard. The rising junior is a super dynamic athlete that can guard multiple positions, push the pace in transition, and fill the wings when his team goes guard-heavy. With great positional size, a diverse skillbase, and a motor that runs pretty hot-- he should be a recruit that D1 coaches prioritize this season.

-Really intriguing blend of skills for a forward prospect with + athleticism. Otite served as an effective shot-blocker both on and off the ball, sprinted the floor in transition to force opponents to tag him and leave shooters open, set physical screens, and guarded both forward spots for his team. Form looked good on his FTs and he hit his only 3 point attempt of the game but he will likely need to develop that area of his game to project to the MM level. The athleticism will be the head-turner for his recruitment as he flashed elite leaping ability on several 2-handed dunks and shot-blocks. Want to see him rebound the basketball at a higher level as he projects to being an undersized 5 at the next level and will need to prove to college coaches that he has the physicality needed to bang on the glass.
