Scott has an argument for being the best public school prospect in the state and the savvy junior lead guard has the Mustangs humming with a 24-1 overall record as they're set to host Seneca Valley tonight for a spot in the semifinals. Scott is dynamic as they come and when the motor is running high, there hasn't been a team on their schedule who can contain him for a full 32-minute period. He's able to fill up a handful of categories on the box score and pose as a legitimate three-level scoring threat where he uses the gravity he demands to make his teammates' lives easier. In the regional title game, Scott was good for 21 points, 12 assists, seven rebounds and four steals.

If you had to name another prospect in the public school sector closing in on Scott's lead as top player, Brooks is your guy. The 6-foot-6 forward is a walking mismatch thanks to his blend of size, strength and skill. He's able to operate in the mid-post and bully his defender under the rim for scores or pivot into face-up scenarios where he's capable of knocking down shots or getting his defender off balance with an array of moves before drawing a foul on his way to the bucket. Brooks is also a threat when trailing in transition or in pick-and-pop scenarios where he can confidently step into three's with supreme confidence. The reigning PG County Player of the Year put together a dominant 36-points outing in Flowers' commanding win over Wise in the regional championship.

Blake made a statement in their regional championship win over Kennedy and advances to the quarterfinal set to host Eleanor Roosevelt this evening. Fowlkes exploded for a 30-points outburst in the game on Wednesday and also grabbed eight rebounds, dished out six assists and recorded four steals as the Bengals played one of the most complete games all season. A small, shifty guard who uses his low center of gravity and burst to blow by defenders, Fowlkes keeps his matchup guessing at what he'll do with the ball in his hands given the range he can extend beyond the HS arc. A crafty finisher at the bucket, Fowlkes isn't a tunnel vision driver and as defenses adjust to stop his scoring opportunities with double teams or digs on penetration, he quickly locates open teammates on the weakside or along the baseline for clean looks.

The bell cow for a well-oiled Whitman group, Williams provides the necessary playmaking on the ball as the point guard that every team needs in order to make the type of state title run they're currently on. As they look to get back to the championship game and avenge last season's loss, Williams will shoulder the load and hasn't shown any signs of fatigue or letting up as the season has progressed. He averages north of 18 points per game for the 21-4 Vikings and is a plus positional rebounder. While it's important to have size in the frontcourt during state tournament play, having high-level guard play is even more of a necessity and head coach Chris Lun enjoys that luxury with the trust he has in Williams making his team go.

Corley-Pugh is a quick-twitch combo guard with good positional size, functional athleticism and scoring prowess that has allowed the Lions to dominate their schedule in Baltimore County. He's shifty in the open floor and can cover ground with long crossovers to expose driving lanes as he creates separation from his man. Dulaney looked strong once again in their 20+ point victory over Perry Hall in the regional championship and the trio of Corley-Pugh, Chase Huber and Drew Ranck will all need to be at their best if they want to go into Whitman on Friday night and pull off the upset.
