One of the clear winners for the month of June, Fitzgerald put up video game numbers as he makes a loud case as one of the best hybrid forwards in the state of Virginia. It all starts with his relentless motor that emerges with his rebounding presence at both ends, investing multiple efforts on given possessions that help shift momentum and his balance as a scorer at 6’7″-6’8.” Flint Hill spent their two weekends at DeMatha without knowing what a loss felt like as Fitzgerald engined them to a 5-0 showing behind 30.5PPG, 15RPG and 2.5 stocks (steals + blocks) per game.

-One of the more underrated inside-out wings in the area, Fitzgerald kept the good times rolling as the head of the snake for a Flint Hill team that #1 seed. Fitzgerald blocked shots both on and off the ball, showed a great scoring touch in the lane–especially off of offensive rebounds– in traffic, and played well through contact around the basket. Loved that he found ways to impact the game on a night when the perimeter jumper wasn’t falling to knock off Gonzaga and advance to the Quarterfinals tomorrow evening.

One of the leading scorer’s at DMV Live, Fitzgerald did nothing but help his recruiting stock during June. A reclassed prospect from the 2027 class, he is a skilled, athletic combo forward who can pass, dribble and shoot it. He has a high basketball IQ and plays with great effort.

Fitzgerald continues the tear that he’s been on this spring/summer and if averaging a double-double of 20PPG and 12RPG in S1 wasn’t enough of a body of work, his showing Saturday was further confirmation that he’s primed for a massive winter. The 6-foot-7 forward logged one of the more impressive stat lines this month for DMV Live in a win over Pallotti with 32PTS and 19REBS in just 25MIN of action. He’s relentless on the glass and spent the second half punishing the rim off rolls and straight-line drives. His energy and production were the catalyst for Flint Hill’s late surge to pull ahead and win by a 14-point margin.

is a forward with great size playing for Flint Hill. He’s a big downhill driver who creates contact on his way to the basket. He has a good spin move to keep defenders honest, and because of this, he draws a lot of fouls. He’s a good free-throw shooter for a big shooting about 75% from the line. And he’s a willing three-point shooter attempting about 2-3 a game. To top it all off, he can pass and rebound with the best of them.

Fitzgerald has a never-ending motor and it was obvious with his body of work as he was the bell cow for Flint Hill’s 3-0 weekend, all of which came by double digits. The numbers were flat out dominant as he averaged a double-double of 20PPG, 12.7RPG 3.3APG and 3.0SPG while scoring it at a 63 percent clip from the field. He may have not been a name atop of college coaches list coming into S1, but moving forward he’ll be a name that plenty prioritize to track for the remainder of summer. Given the competitive motor he brings to each game, the likelihood that he receives his first offer within the next month is high.

The slashing forward thrived controlling the game out of the mid-post. He took what the defense gave him and exploited 1v1 matchups throughout the day. Fitzgerald also showed that he can be a threat to space the floor. He also found ways to be in passing lanes and gather steals. Liked the productivity he adds when he is on floor.`Fitzgerald has great timing when going up to alter a shot.

has made the move over to Highland School to play for Coach Logan Miller and he’s become an immediate contributor for the Hawks in their front-court. He’s a very capable and versatile piece that has an inside/out skillset, a great activity level, and still a ton of room to refine his game. Fitzgerald finished with 10 Points and 5 Rebounds in the close loss, including an efficient 4-7 from the floor. He can hit the mid range jumper off the catch or bounce, has some quality low post moves in his bag, and is readily available for dump offs around the rim. He’s capable of playing above the rim, showing real explosion when jumping off of two feet. He’s adjusted to his new school well, and should be a 2028 F in Virginia to watch closely.

Fitzgerald’s name started circulating around the DMV after his strong summer league showing with Flint Hill. Since then, he’s taken his talents to a strong Highland School roster and reclassed to 2028. He’ll end up being one of the better rebounders in the area if he isn’t already in that conversation and while he continues to learn his own capabilities offensively, the 6-foot-8 forward showed plenty of flashes throughout the weekend in Richmond. He knocked down three’s off kick-outs, displayed dependable hands in the dunker’s spot, and threw down one of the dunks of the event in transition where he put an opposing defender in the rim.
The potential, the skill, and the mindset are all in Fitzgerald. Head coach Logan Miller is going to make sure each of those characteristics are maximized to the fullest extent.

-Highland’s pickup of Fitzgerald this summer was one of the more unheralded moves but should be one of the most impactful transfers in the area. Fitzgerald gives the Hawks a floor spacing W/F tweener that can block shots, finish plays above the rim, and be disruptive defensively by guarding multiple positions. He did all of the above on Sunday, generating most of his own offense off the glass but also knocking down his shooting opportunities when the ball found him on the perimeter. Fitzgerald is also a willing screener, can finish with either hand rolling to the rim, and is a good connector on the wing. Believe there is a good amount of untapped upside for him as a rising junior prospect that is willing to complete whatever tasks his team needs from him to win ball games.
