Davis reclassed to the 2028 recruiting class and made a move to Virginia Academy. The scoring point guard was one of Team AKT ‘s top players on the Hoop Group circuit. He proved he was able to get downhill and finish with either hand around the rim and that he can be a shot creator in the backcourt. Davis uses ball screens effectively and is a shot maker with range that is well beyond the arc.

The junior is leading the way for Head Coach Gordon Person’s squad scoring over 17 points per game this season. Davis has taken over for him older brother Jaxson who is now playing at Roanoke. The younger Davis brother can shoot it from beyond the arc, is a creative finisher in the paint and a reliable ball handler for Centreville.

From day 1, I felt Maddox Davis Maddox Davis 5'11" | PG Virginia Academy | 2028 VA was going to develop into a highly productive guard at this level. Maddox has great quickness and an elite handle. He is a good passer, and as his game matures, he will be a terrific lead guard. He is a three-level scorer, and although he is a little small, he has a complete skill set. He is also a gritty defender with a good motor.
