Here are the eight prospects that stood out to me the most in 3-on-3 action at the Prep Hoops The Expo: Minnesota!

Luke has been one of the state's top stock risers this summer, which has now carried into the fall leading up to the high school season. He has also solidified himself as one of, if not the best shooter in all of Minnesota. He displayed confidence with shots off the dribble and off the catch, as his range stretches well beyond the three-point arc. Schroeder also continues to improve as an athlete and as a creator, which was very evident in 3-on-3 action with more space to work.

Jaylan is one of my favorite players to watch work in isolation, as his game is smooth and he can score in many different ways. He has the size and length to take guards inside, where he can maintain body control on tough finishes around the rim through traffic. If he is matched up with bigger defenders, he can create separation on the perimeter for pull-up jumpers, which he shot very efficiently on Sunday.

Malachi somehow continues to get quicker, stronger, and more athletic, as he was making the game look easy in 3-on-3 on Sunday. There was not a single player that could match up with his speed, as he could blow right by defenders to get inside. Hill also impressed me with the improvements he keeps making to his jump shot, as it looks quicker and cleaner, connecting on some tough looks off the dribble.

Alex looked much more experienced and smarter than many of his opponents at The Expo, as he makes the game look so simple. He is an excellent finisher on drives to the basket, as he always plays off of two feet and under control. He was too strong for defenders, finishing through contests with ease. Schroepfer is also capable of scoring from the perimeter, getting to his mid-range consistently, as well as picking up some assists.

Gideon may have been the biggest riser from The Expo, as he looks ready to break out in his junior season at Richfield. He was jumping out of the gym, throwing down several high flying dunks in the open floor and in traffic. In 3-on-3, he looked very comfortable creating looks for himself, connecting on jump shots in the mid-range and working downhill to finish at full speed. Horne is also such a versatile defender with his size, strength, and athleticism, being able to match up with 1-5.

I was only able to catch half of a 3-on-3 game of Ayden's, and still saw enough to come away very impressed. I have known Green to be a great ball handling option, as well as facilitator, but he looked great as a go-to scorer on Sunday. He hit on some super tough step back threes and attacked the basket aggressively where he could finish through larger defenders. Ayden will be a 2027 prospect to watch at Minnehaha this year.

Brett was a prospect I was not super familiar with heading into the event, but he turned in a great day. I really liked his ability to attack the basket hard, being able to make one move to get downhill for a layup. He can stretch the floor, hitting on catch-and-shoot looks from deep. He has a strong 6'4” frame, which he used to make a difference on the boards. I also saw Siroin get loose for a one-hand dunk in the open floor, showing off his athleticism.

Jaxon was a sleeper that I really liked on Sunday, as he showed some long-term potential. He has a lanky 6'5” frame, as I could see him being a wing or guard prospect to watch with his skillset and mobility. He caught my eye with his shooting from the perimeter, as he has smooth shot mechanics, connecting on a couple looks from deep. O'Neal will be a player on my radar for this season.
