Teams in 6AAA lost a ton of players. About the only upper third Class AAA team with a decent amount of talent back in 6AAA is Richfield. Here are the three players to watch from each team.

Academy of Holy Angels

[player_tooltip player_id='2120498' first='Blake' last='Nixon'] (2026, Hoop Habits). This is a 6'3 guard/wing that scored 20 points, five boards and four assists a game shooting 51 percent from the field and 90 percent at the foul line. He is by far the top returning points per game player in section 6AAA and a likely preseason All State pick in Class AAA.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140555' first='Arjun' last='Jain'] (2027, Real Phenom). Arjun was the point guard last year at 5'9 scoring 11 points a game and shooting a high percentage. He had a nice 16u season and is now going to have fairly high expectations for a team that is going to have pretty high expectations considering they have more returning experience than most teams.

[player_tooltip player_id='1552630' first='Rhikenzo' last='Lee'] (2026). Lee scored nine points a game from his wing position last year and is one of four returning starters for AHA heading into this season (6'4 senior Daniel Devine also returns). Lee is an experienced player that you have seen at showcases and playing in the spring/summer in past years able to score in isolation ways. The Nixon, Jain, Lee, Devine group is a determined team ready to make the state take notice and they have their chance.

Benilde-St. Margaret's

[player_tooltip player_id='2140671' first='Milton' last='Nuahn'] (2027, [program_tooltip program_id='2075485' first='Gain' last='Elite']). With [player_tooltip player_id='2575642' first='Kobbe' last='Willis'] hurt, Nuahn is the top returning BSM player with experience. He's a strong, athletic left handed player that can get downhill to finish and do it on balance. Has also shown the potential to be a very good defender. Scored five points a game last year for a BSM team that was ranked number one for about half of the season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126475' first='Conner' last='Watts'] (2027, [program_tooltip program_id='2455790' first='Howard' last='Pulley']). Watts is a quick, ball attacking guard that excels in ball pressure and I think could be a very good lead guard for BSM the next couple seasons. Last year he scored a bucket a game off the bench but he will have a big role and the way he passes it in the halfcourt, the way he uses his first step, and the way Watts pushes up the court, I think he is going to have a strong season.

Jaidyn Garibaldi (2026). Jaidyn is a 5'10 speedy player that is a really solid football prospect that was also the BSM 9th/10th man at times a season ago. In the middle of last season he was getting more of his varsity time and he should have a nice role as a senior.

Bloomington Kennedy

Delannie Bush (2026). Bush went from not on the roster as a sophomore to being the Kennedy leading scorer as a junior at 14 points a game. He is a 6'3 forward that had a season high 26 points against Brooklyn Center last season. Kennedy will need even more from Bush this year as they lost three starters and a key reserve to graduation.

Keymarey Jackson (2026). Jackson is the other returning starter. He is a 5'8/5'9 combo guard that scored nine points per game as a junior. Jackson had a 32 point game against Legacy Christian last season.

D'andre Moffitt (2026). Moffitt is a six foot guard that came off the Kennedy bench last year and scored a couple buckets a game.

Delano

[player_tooltip player_id='2910343' first='Nate' last='Nielsen'] (2026). I think Delano is going to be better than people think and Nate is one of the reasons. With Max out last winter most of the season Nate stepped into the shooting role and handled it pretty well as a junior scoring 11 points a game. He had a quality Breakdown Summer Series showing as well and I think he is going to have a strong senior campaign.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560809' first='Bjorn' last='Stewart'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2888391' first='Minnesota' last='Comets'] Petermeier). Stewart is a 6'3 wing that scored nine points a contest as a junior and then had a solid 17u year with the Comets. A good rebounder at guard (3-4 a game), a smart player that makes the right pass and doesn't turn the ball over much, and takes about 60 percent of his shots at the arc making about a third or just over that.

Ben Tellers (2026). Ben is the third player listed here from Delano that is going to be a senior that scored about nine points per game or more last year. Like Stewart and Nielsen, Tellers has two years of experience already and because of that experience we think Delano will be a bit better than people expect.

Minneapolis Southwest

Dashiell Erickson (2026). This 6'5 combo forward scored ten points a game for Southwest last year and is the top returning player for a team that lost four seniors that started games last winter.

Niko Case (2027). Case is the other key returning piece for the Lakers that we think will have a big senior year. Case had a key role last year and scored seven points a game as a starter/6th Man type. This year he will be one of the top two talents.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140674' first='Owen' last='Boarman'] (2027). Owen is an athletic, smooth moving 6'4 forward that was the 7th man a season ago scoring five points a contest. Boarman is a really good football prospect in that junior class and having a nice start to his football season but he will help the basketball team too.

Mound-Westonka

Mika James (2027, Minnesota Gold). James scored 8.4 points per game as a shooter with some range and an energetic approach. With the Hawks losing so many players to graduation James will have a big shoulder to load this year but he was the third leading scorer a season ago.

The rest of the listed varsity roster of nine players was seniors (so eight of the top nine players graduated).

Orono

[player_tooltip player_id='2424180' first='Grant' last='Hansen'] (2027, [program_tooltip program_id='2075485' first='Gain' last='Elite']). We've seen this story so many times before with Nolan Groves, Jordan Smith, Jon Leuer, Isaiah Hagen and so many other guys, they come up playing well as younger guys helping those in front of them, and then they explode as upperclassmen. That is very high expectations to put on Hansen but he did score seven points a game last year and he did have a nice 16u season. Grant has a quick releasing jumper and is the next scorer at Orono that I think is going to be tough to deal with.

Gavin McGuirk (2026). Gavin was that 205 pound strong man that started games as a key role player doing whatever role was needed and doing it well. His college future is smashing fastballs into grandstands, trees, shipyards or whatever parks have, but on the hardwood he is a smart player that will play a bigger role.

Brennan Doherty (2026). Another solid baseball prospect that was a key part of the basketball team last year and will step into a bigger role. Brennan scored two baskets a game last year and will step into a bigger backcourt role with Hansen and Century transfer [player_tooltip player_id='1874818' first='Dane' last='Skime'] who was a key addition to the team.

Richfield

[player_tooltip player_id='2412724' first='Dre' last='Collins'] (2027, [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select']). This is explosive and strong forward attacked his sophomore season at 17 points a game helping CJ Armstrong and the [program_tooltip program_id='2075852' first='Spartans' last=''] be a top ten team in state. Collins took his game to another this 16u season earning first team all state for his play with Select. Now expectations are for a monster junior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='2140700' first='Tyrece' last='Hagler'] (2027, [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select']). Let me help your winter scouting report quick..... find Tyrece before he cooks you. Yeah I know, Collins and Waleed are dangerous too but Hagler shot 43 percent from the arc last year and daggered teams because they were so worried about Armstrong. Teams than did the same chasing Collins and Waleed for Select, and Hagler daggered them too. Haggler scored 15.6 points a game as a sophomore.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560817' first='Adin' last='Inda'] (2026, Real Phenom). Inda is the player that you is going to make you pay with his intelligent play. He was an all league player for Richfield last year because he is the smart passer, he does make the right play, he scored his nine points a game taking the right shots. The perfect compliment to all these returning junior scorers.

Robbinsdale Cooper

Tavoiran Thompson (2026). Thompson is a 225 pound frontcourt player that scored ten points per game last year and is the top returning player for the basketball team.

Ajavion Wiley-Hunt (2026). A 5'11 guard that is a solid defensive back football prospect but also one of the key six players for the Cooper hoops team last year averaging eight points a game.

Tavoiran and Ajavion are the only two players that are returning that played any varsity last year that we can see.
