Our Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp is a newer addition to our event lineup, but it has immediately grown into a massive success. This year 120+ of the state's best Class of 2028 prospects came to receive updated evaluations from our scouting department. We were incredibly happy with the level of talent in attendance for this great event. Let's dive on in and take a look at our evaluations of the prospects that made up Team 4 at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp.

I was getting text messages during the event from our on-court staff coaches that this 5'10" point guard from Beech Grove High School was playing very well. He is a quick, shifty playmaker that finished a couple of right hand drives at the basket and went coast-to-coast for an impressive transition layup. There is a good deal of young talent at Beech Grove and Ruth is one that definitely stood out at Sunday's Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp.

A 5'8" left-handed guard from Mooresville High School, Elliott found a variety of ways to fit into a talented backcourt for Team 4 at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. He was a capable floor spacer moving without the ball as a shooting threat, but could also catch and drive it left against closeouts. As he continues to physically mature and get stronger his skill level will start to shine.

Identified as a top performer during the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp by Team 4's coach, Collins first caught our attention during 3-on-3 play. The 6'1" guard from Scecina Memorial was one of the best perimeter defenders at the event. He was consistently active and disruptive as an on-ball defender. Also, offensively, Collins confidently led the fast break and was capable of making good decisions while playing at full speed. His passing ability really shined in the open floor.

The first thing that stands out when watching Smith is his size as a true combo guard. At 6'5", Smith's best attribute is likely his passing ability. He was whipping passes around the floor with accuracy using both hands. Similarly, the North Central High School product is able to finish with both hands at the end of his drives. He is very hard for other guards to handle due to his size, but larger defenders have a tough time staying in front of him as well. Look for him to have a breakout sophomore season at North Central High School.

Clark consistently played off of two feet at the end of his drives which is impressive to see from a young prospect. He was very patient, playing with great pace and not being afraid to shot fake, spin, and pivot around to finish when he got into the paint. That led to a good amount of success scoring around the basket at the end of his drives. The 6'1" guard from Park Tudor High School had a productive showing at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp.

It didn't take long this summer to identify Craig as one of the top catch-and-shoot threats in Indiana's Class of 2028. The 6'3" shooting guard from Zionsville High School brought his talents to the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp on Sunday and proved that fact once again. Not only can Craig really shoot, but he serves as a solid secondary playmaker with ball handling and passing ability as well. Look for him to have a breakout sophomore season for the Eagles.

Here is what we had to say following the Sophomore ID Camp when we highlighted Foster as one of the top performers at the event...

This 6'4″ hybrid wing/forward made an instant impact at the varsity level averaging 9.6 points and 6.8 rebounds per game as a freshman at Scecina Memorial. He continued that production throughout the summer on the UAA Circuit with Progeny 15u. Then, once again, he was among the best prospects in attendance at Sunday's Sophomore ID Camp. Foster is such a physical presence and a very difficult matchup for opponents. He also projects, especially at his size/position, as one of the better rebounders in Indiana for the Class of 2028. We look forward to continuing to follow his development.

Hoover first caught our attention during the 3-on-3 portion of the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. The 6'2" wing hit a tough side step three on the right wing showing off a smooth, left-handed stroke and impressive footwork. Then, in 5-on-5 action he had a tough transition finish off of a throw ahead. The LaPorte High School product showed impressive athleticism and versatility on both ends of the floor.

A 6'4" forward from Noblesville High School, Magsamen will have a chance to crack the front court rotation for the Millers this season. He is a great rebounder, has a versatile offensive skill set, and defends both 4's and 5's well. All of that was on display at the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp. He uses his size well around the basket to punish smaller defenders while having enough skill to drive it in a straight line against other bigger guys. Definitely one to watch at Noblesville with a high-upside.

Over the summer Kostbade showed off his skill from the 5-spot knocking in catch-and-shoot 3's and finishing right hand drives to the rim for [program_tooltip program_id='2075551' first='Indiana' last='Game'] on the UA Rise Circuit. The 6'5" front court prospect from Chesterton High School brought those skills to the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp on Sunday. He really showcased a non-stop motor which allowed him to be consistently effective in both 3-on-3 and 5-on-5 action. Kostbade could carve out a role this coming season for the Trojans in the front court. He is an intriguing long-term prospect.
