Logan Greenwell | Prep Hoops Scout
Electric scoring guard that can go out and get buckets in bunches. Had a great June with his high school team. Comfortable playing on or off the ball. He’s really good in the pick and roll turning the corner and getting into the lane. Defender goes under the ball screen, he’s more than comfortable pulling up from deep where he’s a really good shooter with deep range. He’s a hard nosed defender that plays with active hands and pressures full court. Capable of taking out the other teams best offensive player and being a game changer on that end.

A breakout rising junior from the weekend was this guard from Scecina Memorial. The Crusaders had a very impressive 3-1 record and Collins was a major part of their success. He is an explosive 6’1″ guard that gets downhill in a hurry and can really elevate to finish up around the rim. Collins scored 21 points in an impressive win on Friday morning and then backed it up with a huge 26-point outburst in a win on Sunday. He continues to prove himself as an up-and-coming guard to follow closely in the Class of 2028.

is a tempo pushing guard that thrives in transition and getting to the rim. There was a number of times he got past his man in transition and finished in a crafty way around the rim to avoid getting his shot blocked. Capable shooter that also knocked down couple 3’s off the catch. Showed a nice perimeter jumper with good elevation.

play twice on stream. The talented sophomore guard from Scecina put in a big time performance in the Crusaders blowout win in the City Semifinals versus Crispus Attucks scoring 20 points, 18 in the first half doing it by getting downhill and finishing at the rim at a high rate. Showed the ability to step out and hitting the three but didn’t settle. Also made a living on the defensive end turning Attucks over and converting.

being a starting guard for the Top 10 Class 2A program. We watched the Crusaders in a tough 58-46 semifinal loss to undefeated Fort Wayne South at the Delta Holiday Tournament. Collins popped with his strength and athleticism out of the backcourt that was able to match that of Fort Wayne South. He scored 8 points in the game and is having a very good season for 6-2 Scecina.

We had Collins at our Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp in the fall and he really stood out as a playmaker. He is very quick with the ball in his hands, consistently wins one-on-one battles, and can score the ball off of the dribble as well. The 6’0″ guard has some explosiveness as a finisher and has flashed his perimeter shooting ability at times too. Look for Collins to have a breakout sophomore season at Scecina Memorial High School. He is definitely a piece that will help them in the backcourt. Collins debuts on our Watch List in this update and will make a push for the rankings as we continue to expand them.

Identified as a top performer during the Prep Hoops Indiana Sophomore ID Camp by Team 4’s coach, Collins first caught our attention during 3-on-3 play. The 6’1″ guard from Scecina Memorial was one of the best perimeter defenders at the event. He was consistently active and disruptive as an on-ball defender. Also, offensively, Collins confidently led the fast break and was capable of making good decisions while playing at full speed. His passing ability really shined in the open floor.
