The lone Division I commit in the fall league, Mattucci is clearly a tier above the competition. Moving at a different speed on the ball, Mattucci got to the paint whenever he wanted using a variety of dribble moves. Able to play above the rim, Mattucci had a couple breakaway dunks and finished through traffic. It was nice to see Mattucci start to dominate as a slasher after some early jumpers didn't fall. Another underrated part of his game is his passing ability, which should help him as a ball mover at the college level. One of the top prospects in central Ohio, Mattucci is set for a monster senior season.

It was a big day for the New Albany trio as Stanley did a nice job playing off Mattucci and helping his star senior rack up the assists as Stanley knocks down catch and shoot 3-pointers as well as anybody in central Ohio's 2028 class. Late in the game, Stanley got a clutch offensive rebound to help secure a victory. I know Stanley can make shots at an elite level but hustle plays like that offensive rebound are what I want to see more of this winter.

One of the top scorers from this weekend at the fall league, Climie was knocking down shots often from long distance. That should come as no surprise as he averaged a team high 11 PPG as a junior for Jamestown Greenview. I also was impressed by Climie's ability to get where he wanted off the dribble, forcing the defense to help onto him and create open shots for his teammates off kickouts.

I really enjoy watching team ‘Concord' and despite coming up short this morning, Hogue had some key plays in a late comeback that game them a chance to tie the game at the buzzer. Hogue played under control, made shots off the catch and was in the right spots on both ends of the court to receive passes and provide help-side defense.

Being confident as a shooter can go a long way when you are playing next to stud forwards and that's what Rice did today. Whenever a forward would get doubled or draw help, Rice was ready to catch and shoot quickly before the defense could rotate to him. Keeping the game simple as a role player will allow you to shoot a high percentage and limit turnovers, two crucial skills for role players. Solid performance this morning for Rice on a talented group.
