To begin, let's look at some players who raised their stock over the summer.

Benedict is one of the more intriguing players in the entire 2027 New England class. The 6-foot-6 wing showed lots of athletic potential last season with St. George's, and the rising junior is finally starting to see it all come together. He's now an above the rim leaper who can finish in a variety of ways at the hoop, but he also has the skillset to create for himself via the dribble. The shooting and passing skills are in a good place, too. I predict Benedict will have a huge season for a St. George's team who should be once of the better NEPSAC squads.

Cruz is a skilled and high IQ point guard who can comfortably run your offense. The 6-foot-2 guard isn't especially jumpy or lightning quick, but he plays at his own pace and really understands how to use his body in space. He does a great job putting the defender in jail on the pick and roll, and he can make the right decision for himself or his teammates after he does so. He can also knock down the three ball off of both the catch and the dribble. A strong junior season at Nobles could really elevate Cruz's stock.

Baither is a player who doesn't get talked about nearly enough in New England basketball circles. The 6-foot guard is a phenomenal ball handler and has a rhythm and shiftiness to his off the dribble game that's quite impressive. He has really nice passing vision and is great in the pick and roll, but he can also attack downhill and use his quick first step to get to the hoop. His shot is coming along, though he needs to make it a bit quicker. Baither will probably be Bancroft's leading scorer this season and should have a big rise if he does what I think he'll do.

Murray is a blooming athlete who is rapidly developing his body. The 6-foot-3 guard isn't especially a phenomenal leaper and is really beginning to understand how to use his hops. He has a solid handle and once he gets to the paint, he does a great job elevating and finishing at the hoop with both hands. Though his shot isn't consistent yet, he's getting better, and his passing vision is improving too. He has made big strides recently and a big season at Governor's could majorly change his recruitment.

Quinlan's superpower is his shooting ability, and that's the foundation of almost everything he does on the floor. Defenders have to constantly be alert when he's moving off the ball and coming off screens (he does a great job at this), and they can't give him any space when he's handling the ball. This allows the 6-foot-1 PG to get downhill and then make plays for himself or others, something he's quite effective at. Quinlan should be a key player for Roxbury Latin this season, and I wouldn't be surprised to see his recruitment pick up with some added size moving forward. He's probably a high level D3 guy.
