Rugged forward has a nose to make plays on both ends of the floor. Can score from behind the arc, if you give him an inch he will take a mile. He is able to have offense run through him, He can also navigate to different spots off the bounce and seeks out contact on the attack. Makes the most of chances at the charity stripe. Really liked his ability to make the most of 2nd chance efforts on the offensive glass. He is a prospect who should see a ton of division one traction

Not to toot my own horn, but I’ve thought Benedict had this sort of leap coming for a while now. A year ago he was skinny and unproven, but he’s had an incredible year for St. George’s so far and looks every bit of a D1 prospect. The 6-foot-6 wing has put on some weight and is a phenomenal finisher at the rim with both hands because of his strength and body control. What’s scary is he’s still developing as an outside shooter and has the mechanics needed to be very solid in that regard. Once he puts it all together, he’ll be a dangerous two-way prospect, and based on how much better he’s gotten as of late, I see more improvements coming.

I was impressed when I saw him within the first two minutes didn’t even need to see the stat sheet he stuffs. He is a well rounded player who has nice interior passing skills, times rebounds well and handles the rock well in transition. He pushes the tempo in transition when needed by pounding the rock hard. He is an above average defender. Offensively he had a nice floater, kept the ball high when defenders hands were low. He keeps good balance to go along with his strength when players try to knock him off his spot or walling players up.

Benedict is one of the higher potential 2027 players in the region. He gets significantly more athletic and stronger every time I see him, and the skillset offensively consistently improves, too. He can pass, dribble and shoot well for his size (6-foot-6), but what’s most impressive are his takes to the rim and his finishes around opposing bigs. He has great touch with both hands and is excellent at taking contact. He should be garnering scholarship interest and I could see D1’s being very interested in short order.

Benedict is one of the more intriguing players in the entire 2027 New England class. The 6-foot-6 wing showed lots of athletic potential last season with St. George’s, and the rising junior is finally starting to see it all come together. He’s now an above the rim leaper who can finish in a variety of ways at the hoop, but he also has the skillset to create for himself via the dribble. The shooting and passing skills are in a good place, too. I predict Benedict will have a huge season for a St. George’s team who should be once of the better NEPSAC squads.

Benedict is a 6’6″ wing out of St. George’s School. The 2027 prospect is a plus athlete that does a great job of attacking space off the catch. He can finish above the rim, through contact, or with touch in the paint. He impresses with his ability to put the ball on the deck with his off hand and is comfortable getting into his pull-up game off one or two dribbles. Defensively, he’s ultra versatile with the ability to guard four positions, rebound at a high rate, and make plays in passing lanes. He has scholarship tools and will be an interesting prospect to track going forward.

Benedict, a skilled forward out of St. George’s School in Rhode Island, makes high IQ basketball plays on both ends of the floor. He has a good feel for the game, both with the ball in his hands and as an off-ball mover, and knows how to score the basketball at multiple levels. He’s more athletic than he gets credit for and uses a quick first step to get into the paint as a creator. Defensively, he can guard up and down a position and uses his length and athleticism to make life difficult for opposing ball-handlers.

I continue to be ridiculously intrigued by Benedict as a long-term, late blooming prospect – he already looked a little more in-control and confident since the last time I saw him. He has great size and length – he’s 6-foot-6 with very long arms – and he’s only a sophomore. On Monday, he had an insanely crafty lefty finish on the right side that made me audibly exclaim. I can’t believe someone at his size and lankiness has the coordination to make plays like that, and he also showcases a solid-looking shooting stroke. I’ll be watching closely to see how Benedict continues to grow physically and skill-wise moving forward.

Benedict is an extremely intriguing long-term prospect. At 6-foot-8 with long arms, the sophomore looks like he has a lot of room to keep growing. However, he already possesses a solid skillset; he can shoot it, and he has the ability to put the ball on the floor and get to the rim. He had an incredibly impressive left handed finish against Gov’s that quite frankly wow’d me. Some added weight and strength will help his ability to guard post players and get rebounds, but he has multiple years to improve that. Very bright future ahead for Benedict – keep an eye on his development, D1 coaches.
