Here are the team 9 player evaluations from the Prep Hoops Expo.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125642' first='Jarrel' last='Brown'] Normal Community 2027

Skilled wing who can score it and set guys up in multiple ways. At 6'6 he uses a strong handle and is capable of making moves to get to the basket and score or dish it off for a nice assist. Brown has a high IQ that makes the guys around him much better. If players lay off of him to detour passing he just knocks down shots with ease. Jarrel is also athletic and threw down some strong dunks in transition. I think he may be a mid-major prospect with two years to go.

[player_tooltip player_id='2750002' first='Byron' last='Walton'] Lyons Township 2027

One of the better on-ball defenders at the camp. He has long arms and quick instincts for a lead guard. He disrupted a lot on the court by using good anticipation. Walton caused several steals and racked up assists, giving his team some needed energy. He is a pass-first guard who scored a couple of buckets off fastbreaks using his speed and good body control. It should be a problem at Lyons Township this season for opponents!

Corey Wellere King CP 2027

Chicago gritty guard who constantly made plays with and without the ball. He's a combo guard that shoots it well from deep but can also fill it up from mid-range. His play seemed to pick up the more he found guys on drives and kicks or drop-off passes. This led to him playing more aggressively as a scorer. He plays defense well, showing active hands in the driving lanes occasionally getting a deflection every other play. Should be ready for a competitive season in the new CPS Red Central.

[player_tooltip player_id='2532316' first='Chaden' last='Harvey'] De La Salle 6'2

A solid guard who makes shots from all three tiers. Broad shoulders help him score through defenders when he drives to the basket. Chaden made a couple of drop-off dimes to players cutting to the basket. He intimidates with his wide frame on defense and forces a couple of turnovers by just appearing to be aggressive.

David McFadden Crystal Lake South 2026

Stocky guard who finished layups by running hard in his lane whenever there were transition plays. He made the Energetic plays like beating guys for 50 - 50 balls and out-hustling players for rebounds. David played with a purpose and didn't waste his chances when they were presented.

[player_tooltip player_id='2389398' first='Orlando' last='Edwards'] West Aurora 2027

A very aggressive guard who repeatedly got downhill and scored in the paint. Orlando was active on defense causing multiple steals and flipping them into points. He brought some much needed toughness to the games that woke up some of the players on his teams. He is a positive energy guy.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125578' first='AJ' last='Enyia'] OPRF 2027

Legit 6'8 "forward who can play in the short corner or be utilized as a catch and shoot stretch big man. AJ is a load to keep off the glass. He had a couple of two-handed slams off transition plays with his rim running. Enyia was aggressive on defense doing a solid job at being a rim protector blocking shots near and away from the basket. He showed range on the shot and hit a few threes in the two games played. He can be a player who finds his way to a good D2 if he continues to play with aggression.

[player_tooltip player_id='2925830' first='Elijah' last='Bell'] Jacobs 2027

Athletic guard who made a couple of plays in transition is nothing bigger than a tomahawk dunk that made some onlookers watch from the court nearby. He has long arms and is shifty with the handle. For his position, he keeps the ball alive with his rebounding and has some nice reverse layups when the bigs look to contest. Made a couple of shots from behind the arc.
