Our scouts wanted to take the time to reflect back on some standout players outside of the top-40 to show some love to some of the top performers that might not always get the publicity that they deserve with their play. We'll cover top defenders, best playmakers, elite scorers, hottest shooters, and more! Today, we'll be analyzing the last set of big-time scorers.

Uriah is becoming a special breed as a wing prospect. He has shown his versatility as an offensive asset in multiple ways over the summer. When the defense plays him tight he has shown the ability to turn and back down the defender, scoring with a post-fade or pivoting for a layup. His second-jump ability is underrated in my opinion. Uriah can follow up his own missed shot more times than not, and his height gives him the advantage to put up his shot over the top of opponents. Uriah has touch inside the paint and outside the arc and you never know which will be more prominent on a given night. Always had deep range even as a young prospect and has only expanded on that since then. Huge season coming up for the talented wing.

Ayden is going to see his biggest opportunity this upcoming year with Largo as he should have more freedom with the ball in his hands. He is a quick guard that can dart to the basket off his first step. Becoming more and more elusive with his handle and can shake his defender up for space to fire a shot. Ayden's pullup game in the midrange has improved year after year and I liked what I saw from him the summer. Strong performances game in and game out as Ayden scored in a multitude of ways. Always confident with the shot and has no problem taking critical shots in big moments.

Jamari jumped on the Prep Hoops radar after a few big games during the regular season out in Charles County. He only followed it up with Capitol Hoops SL All-Star honors during the Summer League. Led the team in scoring with over 18 per game. Although underrated, Jamari has a deep offensive bag that features an arsenal of scoring moves. Jamari can spend the game lighting up the opponent from beyond the arc. If the defense takes heed to his shooting ability, Jamari finds ways to break down the tough defense and get into scoring position. He can score inside the paint amongst the bigs thanks to his elusiveness.

Gabe put together a very productive summer that help put his name on the map. One of the top scorers over Capitol Hoops SL, averaging 23 points and achieving All-Star honors. Gabe had a couple of seasons to gain experience and confidence, and now has started to unleash his offensive firepower. Shot the ball very well from deep over the summer, shooting over 50% from the 3pt line and the field alike. He mixed it up with his scoring diversity, getting tough baskets underneath while shooting the ball with great touch outside. As a point guard Gabe has learned how to read the floor, so as a scorer he has started identifying ways to be a bigger threat to attack and create. I expect Gabe to continue rising his stock following this breakout summer.

Sonny is an explosive young guard that had himself a nice summer overall. His quickness allows him to create space in ways that others cannot off-the-dribble. Over DMV Live I got a chance to see Sonny in action, and he did not disapoint. Always love to see a young PG that finds comfort in stopping the dribble on a dime and rising up for a mid/close-range jumper. This opens up opportunities on the floor that generates baskets for the whole team. Sonny has no problem spotting up on the perimeter and drilling the 3-ball, but is comfortable putting the ball on the deck and creating a closer shot. Surprisingly strong as a finisher at the basket. Big game and talent from the sophomore PG on an intriguing McDonogh roster. I believe Sonny has true top-10 potential at his position within his '28 class.
