The top three returning players from each team in Class 6AAAA! Get to know the names, get to know which teams have a lot back, and who will be relying on last year's JV/deep bench!

Wayzata

[player_tooltip player_id='1560867' first='Christian' last='Wiggins'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota']). Minnesota's top prospect, a top 100 national prospect, the returning Class AAAA Player of the Year and a returning first team all state player, that is Wiggins who is committed to Iowa State. Wiggins scored 19.5 points a game as a sophomore.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560778' first='Nolen' last='Anderson'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota']). Anderson had an outstanding 17u season after teaming with Wiggins to form an excellent 1-2 punch for the state champs. Anderson is moving in on Top 150 territory nationally as a prospect who is committed to the Gophers. Nolen averaged 17.5 points per game a season ago and was leading the team in scoring before getting hurt.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560847' first='Tommy' last='Shunmugavelu'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury']). With [player_tooltip player_id='1560807' first='Isaac' last='Olmstead'] hurt we turn to [player_tooltip player_id='1560847' first='Tommy' last='Shunmugavelu'], the starting center from last year's state champs. Tommy scored five points a game, was a focal point as a screener, high post entry guy plus he rebounded strong and was a very good low post defender. Hamline, St. John's and DWU are in strong pursuit.

St. Louis Park

[player_tooltip player_id='2121351' first='Tanner' last='Rose'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select']). Did not play last year but has been very good as a ball handler, distributor for [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] each of the last two years and played some for BSM as a sophomore. Was very steady for one of the top 17u teams in Minnesota and should do the same for his team as a senior.

[player_tooltip player_id='2362161' first='Matthew' last='Johnson'] (2027, [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] K). Johnson was the third leading scorer for the O's last year at 9.3 points a game and he did that as a 6'5 wing/forward sharing time and the ball with the Curtis Brothers who are now at UND. Johnson played with [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] K at 16u, a player with good face up skill and size.

[player_tooltip player_id='2407573' first='Josh' last='Rickord'] (2026, Minnesota Crossfire). Quick ball handler that gets to spots quickly and is tough to stay in front of. Scored 4.5 points a game as a junior and should form a nice backcourt pair with Rose.

Robbinsdale Armstrong

[player_tooltip player_id='2813485' first='Alex' last='Olson'] (2028, Real Phenom). Olson is a 6'1 shooter that scored 10.1 points per game as a sophomore. He was the team's third leading scorer a season ago and he is the top returning scorer for the team this year. Olson should step into the main scoring role as a dynamite upperclassmen shooter.

Aidon Reiinke (2026). Aidon is a standout baseball player and the second leading returning scorer for the basketball team. Aidon averaged seven points per game as a junior highlighted by his five three point makes in a game against Tonka.

[player_tooltip player_id='2120511' first='Eli' last='Kuempel'] (2026). A three sport athlete that had 400 yards receiving and four scores in football where he has offers from Minnesota State-Moorhead and Winona State among others. Eli was second in state in the 4x200 event in track and field, he is a near 4.0 student in the classroom, and in his spare time Eli averaged nearly five points a game as a 6'3 junior wing on the basketball court.

Minneapolis Washburn

[player_tooltip player_id='1874800' first='Brayden' last='Gorton'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075672' first='Minnesota' last='Fury'] DeLo). The 6'9 big man with the lefty face-up ability out to the arc, Brayden scored 9.3 points per game a season ago and is coming off a 17u season where many recognized his potential. Looks bigger every day and is a skilled player. Gorton has a chance to have a tremendous senior season.

[player_tooltip player_id='1560753' first='Alex' last='Young'] (2026, Minneapolis Fury DeLo). Young was the top shooter for the Millers last season and the 6'1 guard scored seven points per game. Also played with Gorton on the Fury DeLo team that won 30 games. Steady ball handler and a pretty good defender too.

Finley Carlson (2027). Carlson scored six points per game a season ago as a 5'9 guard that played solid minutes as a sophomore. With Carlson, Young, Gorton, [player_tooltip player_id='2869262' first='Michael' last='Stevens'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1560746' first='Ryker' last='Van Nostrand'] all back from last year's team, the Millers have a chance to have a really nice 25-26 season.

Hopkins

[player_tooltip player_id='1550877' first='Jayden' last='Moore'] (2026, Team Herro). The Hopkins starting lead guard going on his 5th year is coming off of an all State season. And Moore is going to be hungry. He's the ultimate transition pushing, paint attacking athlete that wins games. And now he has motivation behind him to show his talent. Should be a fun year. Averaged 15 points, 9.5 assists and five rebounds a game as a junior.

[player_tooltip player_id='2420169' first='Ahmed' last='Nur'] (2027, [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota']). Nur averaged ten points and six rebounds a game as he assimilated to a higher level play as a sophomore. Ahmed then took another step forward as a 16u player showing more consistency as well as high potential. If Nur takes the next step this winter, Hopkins will have the pieces to make a state run along with Wayzata, Maple Grove, CDH and Alexandria.

[player_tooltip player_id='2560534' first='Tre' last='Moore'] (2028). Tre was the freshman quarterback making headlines and then he was the Royals 6th Man that scored six points a game, handled some, defended hard, and made a more matured impact than one would expect at his age. Moore will move into a much bigger role this winter.

Edina

[player_tooltip player_id='2126115' first='Vincent' last='Cronin'] (2027, [program_tooltip program_id='2075431' first='D1' last='Minnesota']). I believe all the tools are there for Cronin to make the jump and become a player that all levels of division one hoops will look at. He has good size for a wing at 6'7 and a wide shoulder frame that could add strength and still be very productive. Cronin is explosive, skilled and coming off of a 13.5 point per game season that started with injury.

[player_tooltip player_id='1961315' first='Gus' last='Carpenter'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075496' first='Grassroots' last='Sizzle']). An under the radar name that we saw play very well this summer with Edina at Breakdown events, showing off a matured game. Gus scored ten points per game as a junior playing in an efficient way as a two guard.

[player_tooltip player_id='2430772' first='Mason' last='Mohs'] (2026, [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select']). Like Carpenter, Mohs is a returning all league Honorable mention Lake player coming off of a ten point per game junior season. Mohs is also an efficient player that can go at the rim, that can knock down shots, but also defends and plays his role. Veteran player that has grown and we think he could have a really big senior season.

Buffalo

[player_tooltip player_id='2397563' first='Thomas' last='Jordan'] (2028, [program_tooltip program_id='2821775' first='Buffalo' last='Legacy']). Jordan was an all State 16u second team player having an outstanding 16u season playing up a grade. And this was after scoring 8.4 points a contest on varsity last year often surrounded by a team of seniors. Jordan can score on all three levels at 6'3 and he's a strong player with great body control.

[player_tooltip player_id='2126866' first='Matthew' last='Jordan'] (2027, [program_tooltip program_id='2821775' first='Buffalo' last='Legacy']). Matthew so the 6'2 brother of Thomas that also played varsity last season averaging 4.4 points per game. Jordan was the 8th/9th man for the Buffalo varsity last year but regularly the second/third option for the [program_tooltip program_id='2821775' first='Buffalo' last='Legacy'] 16u team that made major spring and summer headlines. Now Matthew should be a key figure starting each game.

[player_tooltip player_id='2400077' first='Eli' last='Hegle'] (2028, [program_tooltip program_id='2821775' first='Buffalo' last='Legacy']). How senior dominated was Buffalo last season? 12 of the top 14 minute getters on varsity were seniors. And the only non senior, non Jordan (last name) in the top 16 was Eli (Tony Jordan is the third Jordan, he will be a sophomore). Hegle is a scorer that like [player_tooltip player_id='2397563' first='Thomas' last='Jordan'], played up on Legacy at 16u and had an all State season. Eli should translate nicely right into that starting group.
