Alex had one of the biggest scoring performances that I’ve seen this weekend. The 6’3 Armstrong wing was draining threes all game long, hitting a high percentage of shots both off the catch and dribble. He doesn’t need much time to get his shot off, and always had his hands and feet ready to catch and shoot when the ball came his way. Not going to blow you away with speed but was able to change his pace for a couple of nice takes to the rim. Playing for a team without a true big, Alex also did a good job of contributing on the glass, helping lead his team to a win over 2 Face Elite.

When Olson gets hot, he is SCARY! Alex has proven himself as a shooter/scorer from anywhere on the court. His length is a huge asset to the team defensively. Olson is also a fruitful rebounder. He gets it done on both ends of the floor.

He runs with Real Phenom Mason. Alex has the ability to light up the score sheet with his long-range shooting. He recently upgraded his slashing to the rim. Olson can also rebound with the best of them.

At 6’3 Olson showed that his combination of size as well as his footwork and speed make him a versatile player on the court. Driving the lane and shaking a defender with a spin move and hook shot for a big second half bucket. With the size to create space and enough touch to finish the shot, Olson made life hard for defenders on Friday night.

Olson is a two-way wing who uses his length and size well to impact the game. He’s an active defender, controlling the pain and blocking plenty of shots. However, he can switch out onto the perimeter and guard smaller players when needed. On offense, he’s a stretch big who can catch fire from beyond the arc easily. Olson can score around the rim at a high rate, too, creating problems for opposing teams who try to limit his long-range shooting skills.

Olson has decent length at 6’1” from a wing spot. I thought he competed defensively. Doesn’t have a handle on the ball where he can continue his dribble for long stretches, but he’s a good passer and can find teammates.
