He's a really good defender, Ethan plays good team basketball, and plays with a toughness that was important for the Fury when he was healthy.

Ethan is also a skilled player that scored nine points a game last year and he will be the leader of a team that has a lot of young talent this winter. Ethan is a kid that I really think schools will want because he will have a good senior season and because he's an excellent leader in the way he plays.

Jack is a player that I think is going to become a quality D3 recruit as his senior year moves through. He's a player that I believe recently visited Hamline and I think there are going to be a few other programs coming in.

Jack had a 44 point game last year, he's already scored 1,000 point, Jack averaged 18 points and 6.5 rebounds a game last season, and scored on half of his attempts for the season which is a great number for a main option that plays on the wing.

A 6'5 scorer with strength, Thiel plays with a ton of confidence. Perham went to state last year with Cypress as a leading scorer for the team and they are a big favorite in Section 8AA.

We saw Thiel explode shooting wise for WCU a handful of times this 17u season and he's a player that had a 48 point game last winter. Cypress had an 18-19 a game average last year and could take that a step further this winter.

We think Concordia Academy is going to have a big 2026-27 and Scott is a big reason that we think they could be a top ten team next season. Scott scored 15 points a game as a junior but when we saw him against Holy Family he was outstanding. Both ways.

Scott had a 30 point explosive game against the Fire, he scored 36 against St. Croix Lutheran and he had 34 against St. Agnes. His defensive potential is off the charts and if he is a consistent three point shooter (he might be, he might not be, not sure) there is a three level potential offensive approach for him. And with a deep team Dejon should be able to work with space because of their balance.

St. Cloud Apollo win the Sweet 16 which is a good thing for them, it doesn't mean they are about to be preseason number one or something, but it shows that they are top ten worthy and they can move forward without the Nwachukwu's who graduated.

I think the player that is going to take the biggest step in production this year will be Hoth. Goay was a very dangerous player on the wing last year and should be even more dangerous this year. Sells is in the paint, Trevor is moving the ball a lot and scoring, and I think Hoth will step into that scoring role even bigger role now that two starters graduated.

If I was to pick out a Real Phenom player that had the best 17u season out of any 17u player in their program, I think it would be [player_tooltip player_id='2813485' first='Alex' last='Olson'].

Playing with Phenom Horn, we saw him have several explosive three point shooting games where he either broke the game open OR he kept his team in the game for a decent amount of time. We also saw him go to the basket and throw down in ways that really opened the eye. When he adds core strength to his frame both naturally and with weight room work, this 6'3 wing has a lot more potential than I think people realize at the next level. Alex is one of the true sleepers of the 2027 class.

Olson is the top returning scorer for Armstrong and seniors have taken some big jumps for the Falcons lately, I think Alex could do the same this year.
