Ryker Van Nostrand
About Ryker
Expert Analysis
Max Wagner | Prep Hoops Scout
Ryker is one of the best passers I’ve seen this year, and good things seemed to happen when the ball was in his hands. He sees angles that other guys simply miss, and can put difficult passes right on the money for his teammates. Even when he wasn’t driving and dishing to an open teammate, Ryker’s cross-court passes created some issues for the Buffalo defense as they were constantly having to sprint/rotate to close out. If you get into a pocket of space on the offensive end, chances are Ryker is going to find you.

Ryker showed why he could be a contender for Minneapolis City Conference MVP in a win over Osseo on Sunday. At 6’4 he has the size to play out on the wing, but is at his best running the show for his team. Over the years he’s proven to be one of the better passers in the 2026 class, and that trend continued as he dished out a number of assists against Osseo. He was dangerous hitting his bigs out of pick & rolls, and had some drive and kick passes leading to wide open threes. Ryker has the vision and skill set to find and make passes that not many other players can.

Ryker is the grease guy for MN Fury17U Delo. He takes care of the ball, directs traffic, gets the ball into the offense, and controls the pace really well. If his Fury squad is playing well, a big part of it will be because of VonNostrand.

Ryker continues to put together some big performances for Minnesota Fury this spring. The 6’4 wing just finds ways to get two feet in the paint, and from there sees the floor so well to create for his teammates. He can thread the needle to a big with a bounce pass, can kick it out to a shooter, or can simply score over the top with a floater. Ryker is capable of finishing with either hand, and by playing off two feet he keeps his options available at all times. You don’t find many guys his size who can pass like Ryker can, as he has the vision to create a good look for a teammate where no one else sees an opening.

Ryker is such a versatile player for Minnesota Fury . At 6’4 he has the size to defend a number of spots on the floor, he can finish with either hand, and has impressive vision to spot open teammates where not many other players could. In the 8:00am game on Saturday it took Ryker just a few minutes to rack up a pair of finishes, an assist, and a big block at the rim. He’s someone who plays at his own pace, not really getting sped up by the defense, and it helps him make smart decisions on the ball.

– The 2026 Van Nostrand is a six-foot-four-inch utility like wing for the Miller’s who occasionally will put up more in the scoring column to let you know he can do that too like his 15 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists, and 3 steals he had versus Minneapolis Camden. Van Nostrand is skilled at about just everything on the court.
