High School Spotlight: Pike Red Devils

The season is still a few months away, but it is never too early to look ahead at the high school season. We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. He is 18-27<strong> </strong>as a head coach.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>Viewed as a strong favorite to win Class 4A.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Top Player(s):&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='2266896' first='Isaiah' last='Hill']/[player_tooltip player_id='2194328' first='Jahari' last='Miller']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>There are high expectations for the Pike Red Devils this season and the two guys that will step into the leaders for them will be 2027 prospects [player_tooltip player_id='2266896' first='Isaiah' last='Hill'] and [player_tooltip player_id='2194328' first='Jahari' last='Miller'] -- both top 5 players in that instate class. Both Hill and Miller have some of the best chemistry between a big and guard with them playing together both for Pike and for [program_tooltip program_id='2076927' first='Indy' last='Heat'] winning 16u Peach Jam this summer. Together, they bring back over 25.0 point per game and each of them have a host of D1 schools that are recruiting them. With Hill's elite shot blocking ability and Miller's fantastic playmaking, the Red Devils are serious contenders at the Class 4A level. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Player: [player_tooltip player_id='2538892' first='Landon' last='Lampley']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Very rarely do we put arguably the No. 1 prospect in the 2028 class as a "potential breakout" player, but this is going to be the year people really start to get familiar with [player_tooltip player_id='2538892' first='Landon' last='Lampley']. He and his older brother Kenneth took last year off after attending Lawrence Central but have since transferred over to Pike, where they helped them become contenders in Class 4A. [player_tooltip player_id='2538892' first='Landon' last='Lampley'] is one of the more athletic, versatile guards you will see this season with D1 schools at the highest level already recruiting him.
