High School Spotlight: Crown Point Bulldogs

The season is still a few months away, but it is never too early to look ahead at the high school season. We will be taking a look at some quick hitters, the top player(s), a potential breakout player, other roster members, and more for the upcoming season. He is 419-233 as a head coach.</li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:list --> <ul class="wp-block-list"><!-- wp:list-item --> <li>&nbsp;Will be looking to win the Class 4A State Finals. </li> <!-- /wp:list-item --></ul> <!-- /wp:list --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Top Player(s):&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='1561617' first='Dikembe' last='Shaw']/[player_tooltip player_id='1561445' first='Mason' last='Darrell']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>The Crown Point Bulldogs will once again be looking to make a deep run and it will be once again the senior duo of [player_tooltip player_id='1561617' first='Dikembe' last='Shaw'] and [player_tooltip player_id='1561445' first='Mason' last='Darrell'] that will be leading them all season long. This duo has been one of the consistent forces for the Bulldogs the past few seasons and have both gotten extremely better as players in general. Shaw has seen a high level boost in his recruitment at the D1 level and Darrel is an elite playmaking guard and can score at a high level as well. If the Bulldogs want to win a Class 4A Championship this season, it will be because of both Shaw and Darrell. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:heading --> <h2 class="wp-block-heading">Potential Breakout Player:&nbsp;[player_tooltip player_id='1561063' first='Kingston' last='Rhodes']</h2> <!-- /wp:heading --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Crown Point has one of the deepest rosters in the state as well as having a very experienced group of guys with many seniors and juniors that will contribute. A senior that will be looking to contribute at a high level is guard [player_tooltip player_id='1561063' first='Kingston' last='Rhodes'], who will be one of the main ball handlers for the Bulldogs. A small, lightning quick guard, Rhodes plays well above his height.
