July Heat: 2026 Recruiting Heats Up and 2 Who Should Be Next

Forysthe has become one of the most popular guards for mid majors from all over America. The three time Dale State Champions, has racked up the offers this month. The newest offers include New Mexico Stat, SEMO, Tennessee at Chattanooga, Richmond, Portland, Tulsa, Arkansas State and Northern Iowa. Before this current live period he already had a handful of offers, including an offer and visit to Central Arkansas. Expect the complete guard to begin narrowing his options in the next week. With plans to schedule more fall visits while building toward November signing day.     The state's top prospect has two visits planned for this fall with in state programs OU and OSU. OSU is of course special to Montonati's heart, as his father played there and was part of OSU's 2000 Elite Eight squad. Along with the in state visits, he took an official visit to Kansas State last month.   Montonati has taken the nation's best shot this spring and summer with Mokan in EYBL play. He closed it out strong in Augusta, including a 29 point performance against Bradley Beal Elite. One thing has been clear since he took Oklahoma by storm as a freshman, he can score the rock. Especially from three. Which is why his final schools are of the high major variety.     "When flash meets production" is the best way to describe how Billingsley game has taken off over the last year. He'll still making jaw dropping plays with his handles and vision. And now he's a better decision maker and stronger scorer. The college coaches have continued to notice. As following 3SSB play, he has new offers from American and Florida Gulf Coast. While a lot of prospect are celebrating new offers, the Norman Tiger spent July 4th celebrating his commitment. Combs-Pierce committed to Kansas JuCo, Independence Community College. He's an athletic guard, who especially shines on the defensive end. While this spring and summer has shown more of his PG and lead guard skills in grassroots play. Indy should be the perfect spot for his game to continue to grow. As his older brother, Trashuan, has shined in Indy and is currently earning an extensive offer list before his sophomore year.     Matulis is one of the top athletes in the Class of 2026. He explodes off the floor to play above the rim on both ends of the floor. While also being an agile and active defender. He also has a pure shooting form and is one of the better shooters in Oklahoma. Toss in positional size to cover multiple spots along the perimeter and what's the hold up on his offers?   Especially when he plays for one of the most prestigious high schools in Oklahoma. At Booker T Washington he's thrived in his "3 and D" role and it continued with [program_tooltip program_id='2387159' first='Southern' last='Ties'] in Pro16 play. Seems like a simple transition to playing a similar role at the next level.     Denson entered high school with a rep as an elite shooter. Which he has proved over and over at Midwest City. Including helping them to a Class 5A State Title as a sophomore. He spent nearly two weeks in Augusta this month, and it was a testament to how his game has grown. Because it was an oddly cool shooting performance from three, although he did force OT in one game with a corner three. But it was still a strong sign that he didn't let his shooting performance impact the rest of his game.   He's now stronger off the bounce and was efficient at scoring at the rim and midrange. While also staying connected and competing on the defensive end. Denson has been one of the more productive players in Oklahoma's Class of 2026 and deserves collegiate opportunities.
