Here are the top guards based on the scoring list from this year's event at the Riverside Brookfield Live Event.

[player_tooltip player_id='2323571' first='Jaxson' last='Davis'] Warren 2027

Davis was the clear-cut top-scoring guard of the event. Top scoring performance of the whole event with 38 points on Saturday and then followed that up with 34 points and 29 points. At times he looks effortless scoring in every which way. The biggest reason why high majors made the trip was to come watch him.

[player_tooltip player_id='1845357' first='Noah' last='Mister'] Mount Carmel 2026

Mister was the first big output of the event with an easy 26 points over Yorkville Christian then later he put up 30 points against a conference rival. The next day Noah went for 28 against a good O'Fallon team. This consistent performance is showing in his recruiting and more schools are starting to take notice. He may be the lead candidate for a preseason Catholic League Player of the Year.

[player_tooltip player_id='1552475' first='Marquis' last='Clark'] Whitney Young 2026

Clark is the best pure scoring guard in the state and he proved that several times this weekend. In their Saturday game against Lemont Marquis played like he was possessed. His shot was on point and he repeatedly got to the line because of how well he penetrated the lane. In the second game it was more of the same. Marquis' game is driven by rhythm and flow.

[player_tooltip player_id='1435692' first='Rykan' last='Woo'] Depaul Prep 2026

Rykan is easily one of the hardest-working guards in the state. He plays multiple roles on the court and can be your best passer, shooter, or defender depending on the game. This weekend he scored the ball well on Saturday. Going for 24 points in one game then 22 in the next. Woo's game will translate the fastest to the next level because he does the things that help win.

[player_tooltip player_id='2531973' first='Brady' last='Pettigrew'] Bolingbrook 2028

Pettigrew had a signature summer game against Kankakee where he dropped 26 points in one of the more entertaining games so far in June. He was all over the court draining threes, finishing acrobatic layups, and capitalizing of fastbreaks with showtime dunks. He really took the reigns as the new go to scorer for Bolingbrook and what better way to do it with a bleacher full of coaches.

Other Notable Guards

[player_tooltip player_id='1552428' first='Marshawn' last='Cocroft'] Kaneland 2026

Cocroft is a guard who is shifty with the rock. He scored a ton of buckets beating guys off the dribble with his crossover. Marshawn can fill it up and is consistent at it. He scored 24, 22, and 17 in three of the four games for Kaneland.

Dekari Nesbitt Thornton 2029

Incoming freshmen who had played well scoring 20 points plus in two games. Against Lane Tech he scored 20 points and then followed that up with 24 points the next day against Downers Grove North.

[player_tooltip player_id='2734444' first='Marc' last='Harvey'] Oak Lawn 2026

An under-the-radar guard at 6'4 who can put the ball in the bucket. He has good length and is very scrappy as a player. Marc has an unusual-looking shot that goes in. Scored 20-plus in 3 of the games at the shootout.

[player_tooltip player_id='2531961' first='Amarion' last='Smith-Holley'] Peoria Richwoods 2028

Amarion is a high-volume scorer who has a combination of athleticism and skill. He went toe to toe with the top player in the state. Scored well while attacking the lane. His creativity around the basket is fun to watch. Smith-Holley has solidified himself as the top 3 player in the class right now and I don't think he will stop until he reaches the top.

[player_tooltip player_id='2125687' first='Travis' last='Brown'] West Aurora 2027

The electric guard had two very good scoring performances this weekend. Travis shot it well early which opened up for him to score more easily near the basket. He is slippery with the rock and you have to locate him at all times in transition. A very good Sunday.

[player_tooltip player_id='1552438' first='Mason' last='Lockett IV'] Oswego East 2026

Lockett had one of the better performances of the weekend overall. In his matchup against New Trier Mason was in control. He scored with ease in transition then made several athletic plays at the basket and showed how well the shot looks. As a big guard he is a sound passer and terrific rebounder. Mid major plus guy all the way.

Donovan Williams Stevenson 2026

Donovan is an unknown prospect who stepped up this weekend. He's a guard who's not shy about getting his shots up. His handle is tight and he does a good job of creating space to get his shot off. In the two days he averaged around 20 points per game including one 30-point game against a very stingy DePaul Prep defense.

[player_tooltip player_id='2869260' first='Kobe' last='Stevenson'] Thornton 2027

I got my first glance at Stevenson a crafty guard who can make plays with the ball in his hands. He's a dependable passer but for two of the games on Friday he was locked in and scored 22 and 21 points. With Nesbitt coming to the school next season they will become a solid scoring duo.

Deven Marshall Rock Island 2027

Marshall is a poised guard who figures out how to score in space and tight situations. I like how he played at his own pace in the game and kept the defense off guard at times. He shot it well from mid-range and behind the arc against St. Ignatius. Devin is one of the handful of players who reached 30 points at R-B.

Jeremy George Michelle Clark 2026

George is a gritty guard who gets downhill and puts the pressure on refs to blow their whistles. He is a three-level scorer who got off in two games for 28 and 22 points. Jeremy is a guard who is under the radar now but can blow up if he continues to put up solid numbers like he did this weekend.

Keiwon Gulley Bloom 2029

Gulley is already having an immediate impact on the varsity level. An explosive guard who has an extra gear to his game. Keiwon is lightning on the break and is a weapon as a scorer or passer. In the morning game against Metea Valley, Gulley scored 25 points in the win.
