PH Chi-Town Tip Off: Sunday's 2029 Game Changers

Sunday was day 2 action from the Prep Hoops Chi-Town Tip Off. I was in Romeoville for another day of exciting hoops. Throughout today's games I mostly took in teams from the 2029 division with a couple teams sprinkled in from the 2028's. In this Sunday's review, we will take a deeper dive into a handful of guys from the 15U division who made some big noise.    An all around work horse for squad that got buckets by the bunches in early morning game on Sunday. Runs the sidelines at a fast rate with a full head of steam. Can fit anywhere from a 1-3 for age but as he progresses will be a pure 2 or 3 guy. Knocked down a handful of 3's all in rhythm at a high clip. Attacks the rim aggressively as well. Overall hard nosed and competes all around with balanced demeanor.     Has a plus wingspan and fits into a 4 man role for team presently. Defensively is where he made his mark and stood out. Anticipated in the passing lanes with keen awareness and IQ. Pure rim runner with high energy in the back court defensively. Scored it by the bunches in transition and earned some more from the charity stripe. Will make the extra pass and is mobile from end to end.     Caught him in the later morning game today and he made it rain 3's. Will switch between a 1 and 2 based on team's makeup on floor. Capable handler but he shot the lights out at high clip. Had 3 3's in the first half and 2 more in the 2nd to keep team within reaching distance. A couple of these were well off the perimeter line. High arker on shot. Nifty and poised with the rock. Maybe a bit undersized but makes up for it with quickness and pure precision shooting.     Impactful combo guard on both ends of the floor. Brings high energy and positive effort defensively guarding on the ball and off to help force the turnover initiative. Plays with a smart aggressive demeanor defensively. Off of primary break opportunities looks to attack the cup at quick rate. Scorers mentality that got into flow and helped lead team to a bigger winning margin.     A fundamental gamer with a knack to compete. Led team to 4-0 on the weekend. Catches, faces, sees floor, then makes his move. Will jab step or pump fake to get on ball defender off balance then go. Makes hard rip throughs if driving lane or angles are available. Slashes hard. Gets through contact while going up with no issues. High efficiency finisher with a pure jumper from 3. The Pirates from Palatine have a tough CG hooper coming through over next 3 years.
