Coming from a successful St. Patrick program known for producing fundamentally sound and tough players, Chlubna’s style of play is no surprise. He provides excellent positional size which gives him the ability to contribute as a wing while consistently stretching the floor with his perimeter shooting. His feel for the game, basketball IQ, and willingness to do the little things make him an effective all-around player today while his long-term projection points toward developing into a true shooting guard. Leo impressed with his ability to shoot on the move, finding space and getting his shot off quickly. He worked well without the ball, creating separation from defenders with smart movement. His release was clean and repeatable, even under pressure. He added value by keeping the defense honest at all times.

An all around work horse for squad that got buckets by the bunches in early morning game on Sunday. Runs the sidelines at a fast rate with a full head of steam. Can fit anywhere from a 1-3 for age but as he progresses will be a pure 2 or 3 guy. Knocked down a handful of 3’s all in rhythm at a high clip. Attacks the rim aggressively as well. Overall hard nosed and competes all around with balanced demeanor.

Chlubna scored a team-leading 18 points for Spartan Sports Elite 15u as they picked up a 68-56 win on Saturday. The 6’2″ skilled guard connected on a couple of three-point shots in the second half to help keep the game out of reach. His positional size on the perimeter for a Class of 2029 prospect, paired with his skill level, certainly caught our attention.
