8 AM games usually show who really wants to play hard and give effort and who doesn't, Joiner certainly falls in the first category as he scored the first 8 points of the game for his team and was active on both ends of the court. Joiner scored off putback layups, drives that turned into floaters and jump stop layups and on a few jumpers against the zone defense. In sudden death overtime Joiner won the game with a strong bucket that showcased exactly what he wants to do offensively. One of the top 2028 prospects, Joiner should help bring a heavy crowd of division I coaches to Midwest live.

One of the most improved players I've seen from the high school season, Stuart's confidence is night and day different from his freshman season. Ball handling and confidence seem to be the two biggest factors that have allowed Stuart to impact the game at a higher level this weekend. I was impressed with Stuart's confidence with his off hand, making a coupe drive and finishes with his left hand. Finally, Stuart knocked down a corner 3-pointer off a nice BLOB set. Between Stuart and rising senior [player_tooltip player_id='1558735' first='Max' last='Meagher'], Lexington Catholic should have one of the better front courts in all of Kentucky.

One of the most skilled guards in Kentucky, Sears offensive skill level and basketball IQ shines in every game I watch of his. Moving smart without the ball, making the right pass and shooting a high percentage, Sears does things that elite offensive point guards do. He's also starting to grow into his body with Sears standing at least one to two inches taller than he was in December when I last saw him in person. Next step for Sears will be adding strength to his shoulders to handle physicality and contact up and down the court. One aspect that's already impressive about his game but could get taken to the next level with added strength is Sear's finishing, he puts tremendous spin on layups at the rim.

Despite the loss I still left the game really impressed with Terry's offensive skill level. Not many guys his size and age are able to knock down a pick and pop 3, hit a drift pass to a shooter in the corner and finish through contact consistently. In transition I also got to see Terry play above the rim with a couple dunks and he had some second chance buckets as well. Terry's lateral quickness will be a key part of his game I'll be monitoring, especially against 3SSB athletes in July.

A new face in the Louisville area, Jung immediately becomes one of the most dominant physical presences in all of Kentucky. With a great body and frame, Jung can physically overpower smaller forwards on both ends of the court. Able to move his feet defensively, Jung showed the ability to hang with guards on switches and when forwards tried spacing him out on the perimeter. Offensively, Jung had a monster putback dunk and showed soft hands on post entry passes that were contested. Finally I was impressed with Jung's free throw ability, showcasing a smooth stroke that went in from the charity stripe. Expect Division I coaches to start really taking notice of Jung if he continues this level of production on both ends of the court.
