It was good to see Lindsay back healthy after he missed the end of his Freshman season at St. X with an injury. Josh did appear to tweak something in his lower body in the first game of the afternoon but bounced back after a few minutes. Still an explosive leaper, Lindsay could be a big time national recruit in due time. He's still got some work to do on his ball handling but Josh's ceiling is pretty ridiculous as a prospect.

Ferlandas was very solid at camp. He didn't dominate but he played well and competed on both ends of the court against the other bigs who were at camp. Wright has the ability to step out and shoot the ball in addition to his low post game. When he's motivated, there may not be a better Sophomore prospect in Kentucky thanks to his size and skill.

Jordan is one of the most explosive athletes I've seen in Kentucky since I've been covering the state, period. Long term, his skill level has to improve so he avoids being considered a "tweener" at the college level. For right now, Jackson can dominate with the physical tools he possesses. He also may not be back at Holy Cross so he could be the biggest transfer in Kentucky this summer, if he stays here.

Saturday was my first extended viewing of Siakam and I left impressed with the rising Sophomore. It took Joaquin a little while to settle in during 5 on 5 play in the afternoon but by the end of the day he had earned his All Star game appearance. South Oldham tends to not play younger kids a whole lot but if he's given the opportunity, I can cee Siakam being a big time X factor for the Dragons this winter.

McFarland looks and plays like a super sized version of [player_tooltip player_id='2429606' first='Josh' last='Lindsay']. Johnny showed off impressive bounce and flashed just enough skills and motor to leave me really intrigued with his long term potential. You could argue that Johnny earned an All Star selection over some guys who did make it. I'd like to see how McFarland plays in a more structured game. Definitely a player to keep an eye on.

Nichols had a modest Freshman season for Madisonville and has transferred to St. Mary in Paducah this Spring. This was my first time I've been able to see Ja'Cobi in 9 months and he's grown and started to fill out a little bit. He needs to continue developing his overall skills but there won't be many prospects in the first region who can match Nichols' combination of size and athleticism.
