One of the top 2028 guards in Ohio, Poellnitz III was a walking paint touch this weekend as he was relentlessly attacking the rim and providing pressure on the defense off the dribble. Able to get around defenders in isolation or use the pick and roll to get into the paint, Poellnitz III had numerous acrobatic layups at the rim around shot contests. While Poellnitz III is right now getting above the rim for layups, I expect Poellnitz III to be throwing down dunks in traffic very soon as he still has room to physically develop. If Poellnitz III can consistently knock down the 3-point shot, he'll be one of the most sought after prospects in Ohio's 2028 class.

Lakota West is one of the top teams in Ohio and Dunn has done a nice job fitting into their lineup this summer as a wing who can flat out shoot the basketball. Floor spacing is so crucial in basketball and Dunn forces the defense to take note of where he is off the ball and Dunn has been confidently catching and shooting the basketball this summer. Once Dunn adds some strength over the summer and fall and gets more comfortable in Lakota West's defensive system, he has the tools to become one of the best wings in southwest Ohio.

Brooks has been one of the top guards in Ohio's 2028 class and was scoring efficiently at Ohio State's team camp. Able to attack from a triple threat position, Brooks combination of perimeter shooting and quickness makes him a tough cover. When Mansfield Senior had their most offensive success, it was usually when Brooks was making shots, setting his teammates up or getting the team out in transition. During July I'll be focusing on Brooks defensive ability playing next to other top talent.

Groveport Madison is a scrappy group that wants to play aggressive and physical defense. Wagner fits that style well and has the frame of a player that isn't a rising sophomore. His playstyle fits his frame as Wagner wants to bully you with physicality and use his body to create space as a slasher. While Groveport Madison doesn't have a ton of guys who hurt you in the half-court offensively, so Wagner and his teammates consistently run the floor to try and generate transition layups. Not many teams play as hard as Groveport Madison does at both ends and they get the ball from one end of the court to the other very quickly.

Roddy came onto the scene as a freshman, playing a big role for Reynoldsburg, he's now a starting piece for the Raiders after they graduated a few seniors and he impressed in June. Roddy is a hard-nosed defender who had a handful of steals and provided excellent on-ball defense. I've been really impressed by Roddy's improvement as a 3-point shooter as he made some tough shots from the outside but could work to create easier looks from the floor. One of the most productive underclassmen in Ohio is set for a big statistical season as a Sophomore.

A new name I found on Friday, Perry was athletic, played hard on both ends and made a couple perimeter shots. I liked that Perry impacted the game besides just scoring and his athletic traits also caught my eye. I think you'll be hearing a lot more about Perry this winter as Reynoldsburg has numerous top games on their schedule for next season.
