On Friday and Saturday, I attended the NEPSAC Showcase at Babson College in Wellesley, MA. There were four courts going on at once and games going from 8:00am to 9:00pm. Though I tried to watch as many games and teams as possible, I didn't get to see everyone — so my coverage this weekend will be reflective of the games I saw.

JJ Johnson comes from Pennsylvania to The Williston Northampton School and should be an immediate impact player at this level. The 6-foot-4 guard is incredibly lanky and wiry and uses his body to get to spots on the floor and elevate for Mikal Bridges-esque mid rangers (if you know, you know). He has no offensive weaknesses; he can play in the pick and roll with great composure and change of speed, but he can also explosively get to the rim and finish. He looks like he might not be done growing and putting on muscle, too, which is even more intriguing. Definite scholarship prospect who should have a huge year.

Nosek transfers in from Illinois and can absolutely shoot the lights out at 6-foot-8. With Moesch running the point and Edema manning the paint, Nosek should get tons of open looks from three-point range and will have a field day. He's also a really nice off-ball cutter who understands spacing and ball movement, which will certainly help his ability to play at this level. His ticket to scholarship ball is his size and shooting, but some added muscle and strength would make him a HIGHLY intriguing prospect for high major college coaches.

Ghee comes from New Jersey and will be playing on a stacked Hotchkiss team this winter. The 6-foot-3 wing is strong bodied and incredibly long for his size. He's a three level scorer who can get into the lane and use footwork to finish around bigs, can get to his spots in the mid range and elevate for jumpers, and can hit the three-ball. I wouldn't be surprised if he is the first or second leading scorer for a Hotchkiss squad that is looking to be really tough. Definite scholarship prospect.

Ford comes to Phillips Exeter from Poly Prep in Brooklyn, New York, and might be his new squad's best scoring option. The 6-foot-3 combo guard has phenomenal body control and an off-hand that allows him to get into the lane easily. He can shoot it from the mid range and three, keeps his line incredibly well on drives and can finish with the best of them. He's going to play a huge role on this Phillips Exeter squad and should probably be getting looked at by college coaches at the scholarship level, though perhaps he could end up playing D3 hoops.

Waterhouse has apparently been playing basketball overseas for the past couple seasons, but he comes into Suffield Academy as a rising senior and should be a key cog for them. He's a relentless driver to the hoop who keeps his line effectively on drives and plays with excellent toughness and grit. He can also shoot it from the outside off the catch and off the dribble and attacks the glass like a madman for offensive rebounds. Oh, and he knows how to play the game with and without the ball, too. He'll be an excellent player for SA this season.
