-Finishing as the third highest rebounder as an undersized point guard isn't a surprise as it reflects Lawson's tenacity at both ends of the floor. Lawson does a great job of creating for his teammates with paint touches and Steve Nash drives along the baseline to probe the defense for good passing options. Lawson hit an open 3 but did most of his damage in the paint as a physical driver that understands how to draw and play through body contact around the basket. Love how he leverages his size, strength and quickness to generate turnovers at the opposite end of the floor whether he is on the ball or playing free safety as an effective help defender.

-Carter did a phenomenal job of attacking the defense and using his defender's balance against them to draw fouls in a tight game that came down to the last possession. The FT performance (9/10) was crucial in keeping the Spalding offense alive, in addition to a big 3 and two long rebounds that Carter turned into 2 points at the other end. The senior floor general is really hard to turnover and understands when he needs to call his own number vs when he needs to find a shot for a teammate.

-Did a great job of manufacturing paint touches and creating easy looks for his bigs throughout the game. Love his burst of speed and how quickly he can change gears to get downhill. Also really was impressed by his defensive IQ, a small guard that leverages his size to get underneath ballhandlers to force turnovers— he isn't scared to double down on bigs or sneak behind a ball handler to poke out a steal. His active hands and play-making pushed his team down the stretch to a good win over Hargrave.

Back to back blow-by layups with the extension finish, the second one through contact. Had a nice spin lay off glass, spun into s stepback two, hit a snatchback three after rejecting a ball screen, and found a teammate with a shuffle pass in front of the rim after blowing past his matchup. He's grown an inch or two and he's worked on his body to absorb more contact on his trips to the rim.

-Man oh man, Elliott showed out in a big way and gave his team everything you could ask for in a modern PG. He laced two 3s in transition, got to the rim with ease, and used his scoring gravity to deliver a few beautiful dimes to teammates at just the right moment. The passing really impressed as he was throwing hook passes with some zip off a live dribble, dropping off shovel passes around the defense to his bigs, and hitting pocket passes off the bounce both forwards and in reverse to his target. Elliott played with such speed and pace on the ball, using an aggressive playing style to bully his way to spots on the floor.

-Turned in a really productive revenge game against his old team, showing the full offensive arsenal as a dynamic scoring guard. Asare hit three 3s, had the midrange pull-up going all night, earned several trips to the FT line, and stuck a floater off glass that made it a 2-possession game with just under a minute to go. He should be a good fit in a Highland system that really lets their guards play in the open court
