Expert Analysis
Colby Giacubeno | Prep Hoops Scout
Ainsworth is coming off a sophomore season with SSSA where he gained more momentum as one of the top 2028 guard in the state of Virginia. Forming the backcourt tandem with Fox should make for an exciting spring/summer, but this weekend showed that the two are still working out the kinks in finding each other in their best spots. Ainsworth ability to beat his man off the bounce will be a generator for everyone on the floor, including himself as he’s shown to be a crafty bucket-getter who scores in unorthodox ways.

Ainsworth impressed with his ability to make shots and has a great in-between game he uses regularly. He is at his best when the game is in the half-court. He is a prospect who should see some attention from college coaches over the next several months. He did a nice job rebounding and pushing the pace in transition. I want to see him become a more consistent threat from behind.

Devin is a quick, shifty guard who has the ability to get downhill and create plays for himself & others. He also showed his ability to knock down shots from the perimeter. Devin is a solid contributor for the St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes program and will play a major role in the St. Stephen’s success this year. He is a scrappy defender who will cause chaos guarding the ball. Devin is a solid two-way who communicates and constantly brings positive energy to others around him. Finish the game against Potomac School scoring 12 points on 5-13 from the field, 1-3 from the 3pt line, 3 assists and 2 steals.

15p 6r 2a 2s vs MSJ
-Smooth offensive game for a rising sophomore, showed the full array of skills in a nice win over MSJ. Ainsworth had a great steal and kick ahead to a teammate for the transition lay, sank a floater with some nice touch in the key, and did a great job of attacking closeouts throughout the afternoon.
