It is rankings update time once again. June is our favorite month for evaluation here at Prep Hoops Indiana, and we have already been buying up the pavement seeing as much basketball as we can, but that doesn't mean we can't find time for an important rankings update. However, before we do so, let's take a look at a handful of prospects that we are excited to get deeper evaluations on going forward. We have seen these players play some during their first year in high school, but we are especially excited to make a point of seeing them more going forward. Here are six players that fit that qualification.

Baseball very well be Breeden's path forward when it comes to college, but it won't be for a lack of skill on the hardwood. The talented 6'4" wing/forward averaged 14.3 points per game as a freshman at Evansville Mater Dei. Most impressively, he knocked in 40-106 (37.7%) from three-point range. Breeden is definitely one we look forward to watching more.

Fetz put up massive numbers throughout the spring, and we had the opportunity to see him a bit for [program_tooltip program_id='2383637' first='Summit' last='City Elite'] Black 15u, but we definitely need to continue to evaluate him more to figure out exactly where he stacks up among guards not just in his area but in the state as a whole. The 5'10" guard is a dynamic playmaker, very good three-point shooter, and capable shot-creator from all three levels. He was the leading scorer at Mississinewa as a freshman putting up 12.9 points per game while shooting 45-115 (39.1%).

Prep Hoops Indiana went to watch South Ripley practice in the fall, the Raiders went on to have an excellent season, and we've since seen Gunter some this spring for Progeny UAA 15u. However, we are excited to evaluate him going forward as he takes on a much larger role with his high school team. The 6'4" forward plays very hard, has fluid athleticism at his size, and will be a part of an exciting young core going forward.

Mastin was thrown to the fire right away as a freshman at Beech Grove High School and that early experience will play dividends for him down the road. We are anxious to continue to evaluate him and see where he stacks up among the best point guards in Indianapolis. He has flashed enough playmaking talent so far to make us intrigued and we will make a point of getting eyes on him again sooner rather than later.

One of the best under-the-radar talents in the greater Fort Wayne area, McBride put up some really impressive numbers as a freshman at Norwell High School. Coming from a lineage of talented basketball players, this 6'2" guard averaged 12.6 points while doing a great job on the glass and showcasing his overall playmaking ability as well. He is definitely one that we want and need to see more of as soon as possible.

We got our first look at Selking while playing with the very talented [program_tooltip program_id='2228160' first='OPS' last=''] 15u team at UA Rise Session I in Hamilton, Ohio in May. He certainly caught our attention enough to look forward to watching him further. Selking averaged 12.3 points per game while making a very impressive 67 three-point shots on the season. He is definitely one of the best shooters in Indiana's freshman class.
