The Norwell Knights will be one of the favorites to come out of Sectional 22 next week and a big reason to that is them having one of the better sophomores in the state in point guard Josh McBride Josh McBride 6'2" | PG Norwell | 2028 State IN . The 6’2″ guard has great size in the backcourt, especially for his age. He handles the ball well, is a good and willing passer in the open floor, and is athletic enough to go finish at the end of his drives. You can watch him this week when Norwell opens up Sectional play vs Heritage.

A Top 50 sophomore in the state of Indiana, McBride finished with an impressive 24 points and 9 rebounds to lead Norwell to a 56-40 win over Bishop Dwenger. McBride is a really tough matchup for other guards on the perimeter.

McBride emerged as a freshman as one of the most productive young players in the greater Fort Wayne area. The 6’2″ guard has great size in the backcourt, especially for his age, and looked the part while playing against many of the best players from across the state on Friday. He handles the ball well, is a good and willing passer in the open floor, and is athletic enough to go finish at the end of his drives. Look for him to be the next in a line of standout McBride’s in the area.

One of the best under-the-radar talents in the greater Fort Wayne area, McBride put up some really impressive numbers as a freshman at Norwell High School. Coming from a lineage of talented basketball players, this 6’2″ guard averaged 12.6 points while doing a great job on the glass and showcasing his overall playmaking ability as well. He is definitely one that we want and need to see more of as soon as possible.
