2027 Rankings Update: The Top Ten

The rising Junior class is absolutely LOADED with talent and there are any number of players who could take over the top spot in any update. With so much talent, it's getting harder and harder to rank these players. But that's what we do here. So with no further wait, here are the top ten in the updated 2027 rankings for Kentucky!    White is a big shooting guard who has earned several D1 offers already and should probably expect more to come as soon as this summer. Davier has a smooth game and is able to knock down threes at a high rate or get into the paint. He's a mismatch for almost every opponent he sees and with his shot making, White has a chance to be a HM recruit.     Ferlandas has one of the highest upsides in the class and shows flashes of what he can be. Wright is capable of stepping out and knocking down threes at 6'7 but also can take a mismatch down to the block and score the ball. If he can get his motor running all the time, Ferlandas has a very high ceiling as a prospect.     Montez is also in the mix for the top spot in the class. A big guard who has a solid skill level and is an above average athlete, Gay has become more comfortable playing on the ball over the last year. Don't be surprised to see several offers come his way in July. His defense has also continued to improve and he's making strides to be a big time 2 way player.     After waiting his turn for two years at Great Crossing, LJ is now the main piece for the Warhawks. A very athletic guard who is transitioning to running the point full time, Holman has extremely high long term potential thanks to his ability to score as well as to lock down opposing guards.     Braxton was the leading scorer for the state of Kentucky last season and he definitely excels at putting the ball in the bucket. He's used to having to carry a heavy burden for his team and doing a lot for them to be competitive. I look forward to seeing Keathley play more of a facilitator role in the future when he has more players around him.     There are so many players in this class who could easily be ranked first overall and Jack is another one who fits that bill. Logsdon is a player who gets stuff done. He checks a lot of boxes as far as his ability to impact games on both ends. He's a big wing scorer and continues to improve as a defender. Jack is likely the most slept on and least heralded player in this top ten.     If you want a player with ridiculous upside, it's Tyce for sure. Jarvis is athletic and quick and has continued to develop over the last two years. He needs to add bulk to his frame but Tyce has a lot of tools and it's easy to see why he's continued to earn D1 offers. His long term potential is very high!     Matthew is a player who is overlooked a lot but he's got all the tools to be an impact player right away in college. Langhi has a high IQ and has gotten more and more comfortable playing with the ball in his hands. Long term, Matthew is going to make some college coach very happy. Especially if he keeps growing like he has.     Starks has the most hype of any player in Kentucky's 2027 class and has recently been invited to Team USA tryouts. Griffin had modest numbers at Newport last year but this summer could be the start of a breakout season for Starks. He's got all the tools to be great!     For my money, Brown is the best isolation scorer in Kentucky, right now. He excels at getting into the paint and getting buckets and he's grown and gotten more athletic to where he is now consistently finishing above the rim. Ja'Rye has a high IQ and continues to improve as a playmaker. He's the top PG in this class and is starting to create some separation.
