Champions have officially been crowned on the Prep Hoops Circuit. Over Memorial Day Weekend the Grit Region Finals took place in Illinois with three sites hosting 15u, 16u, and 17u play respectively. After a busy spring on the circuit it is always fun to watch teams get to compete in a tournament, win or go home, atmosphere. Over the next few days we will continue pumping out content from the weekend in typical Prep Hoops fashion. However, before diving a bit deeper into the weeds, let's begin by highlight our All-Tournament teams. Here are the ten talented prospects that were awarded Second and Third Team All-Tournament in the 17u age division.

A standout guard from Brebeuf Jesuit High School, Ford was a dominant force in the backcourt for INB Elite at the Grit Region Finals. The explosive 5'11" guard showed off his quickness when attacking the rim off of the bounce and several big scoring outputs while leading his team to the 17u quarterfinals. Ford is an excellent finisher at the end of his drives and has a real burst with his first step to get by his primary defender. He looked comfortable operating in the pick-and-roll as well making some great passes to his big man. Definitely a name for college programs to watch heading into the month of June.

Ladson scored 17 points and dished out 4 assists while being money at the free throw line to help the VIP Kings win the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Championship. The 6'1" guard had a couple of other big, double-figure scoring outputs throughout the weekend as well. He is a confident playmaker off of the bounce that found success getting to the rim and finishing inside. Another Trinity High School product, Ladson is more than capable as a catch-and-shoot threat as well. He played very well at the Grit Region Finals and is taking home the hardware to show for it.

One of many talented prospects on this [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] Black team, Matz did a little bit of everything throughout the weekend while helping lead them to an appearance in the quarterfinals before a lack of bodies led to them sputtering out. He had 13 points, 5 rebounds, and 3 assists in that contest and a handful of other strong performances in front of other Prep Hoops scouts. The Carmel Catholic product has great positional size and length in the backcourt that, when paired with his skill level, makes him very hard to handle on the perimeter.

Rembert was a big part of leading Basketball Paradise to the Final Four at the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region Finals. The versatile 6'2" guard shot the ball very well from three-point range in the two games we watched making five total three-point shots combined. He also scored 16 points in their win over [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] in the quarterfinals. The Oswego East High School product rebounds well from the perimeter and was able to use his strength when attacking closeouts to score inside. That consistent inside-outside game made him incredibly effective for one of the better teams in attendance.

Warren was excellent in a low-scoring win for the ABC Young Lions over [program_tooltip program_id='2078408' first='Team' last='Rose'] on Saturday. The explosive, slippery guard scored 15 points in that one to lead his team to victory. He showed off a variety of dribble moves that allowed him to win one-on-one battles on the perimeter. Then, once he got an advantage doing downhill, Warren did an excellent job of finishing and/or making plays for his teammates. The ABC Young Lions eventually fell in the championship game, but it was a great showing throughout the weekend for Warren.

One of the best catch-and-shoot threats at the Grit Region Finals, Allen was on fire from beyond the arc for The Academy Black. He has excellent footwork on the perimeter, can get his shot off in tight windows, and can make them on the move. Allen knocked in five three-point shots in one of the games that we watched over the course of the weekend.

A consistent presence in the backcourt for the VIP Kings, this South Oldham High School guard was a key piece of his team winning the 17u Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region championship.
Gray has some stretches where it looks and feels like he simply cannot miss from three-point range. He turned in a couple of those stretches over the course of the weekend at the Prep Hoops Circuit Grit Region finals while helping lead INB Elite to the quarterfinals. The 6'2" guard from Class 2A State Runner-Up University High School has done a lot of winning of late.

As soon as we watched Render absolutely go off for 43 points in a game for [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] White we knew that we would find room for him on one of our All-Tournament teams.
A Top 10 prospect in the state of Illinois, this 7'0" center did his part for [program_tooltip program_id='2078374' first='Full' last='Package'] Black in their quarterfinal loss on Sunday morning. Stack finished the game with 12 points and 16 rebounds. His ability to impact the game defensively, along with some versatility at his size, make him an obvious Division I prospect.
