Allen is an underrated star that has also become an excellent leader. I’ve seen him single-handedly spark teams wins. Allen may be the most explosive shooter and run starter in the bracket.

Allen will be easily 1 of the top shooters and scorers in Washtenaw County. He’s an explosive scorer that simply take over a game when he grooves his jumper. A perfect example of this was this summer I watched his team trail by 20, walked out of the gym to make a phone call, and came back in to find that Allen caught fire and led a huge comeback.

Allen was big time on many occasions for The Academy . He showed that his improved athleticism and playmaking is a permanent thing. Allen also repeatedly showed that he can still shoot the leather off the ball. He was seen taking over games offensively.

I have no stats or numbers for Allen this weekend, but I don’t need them. We’ve talked all summer about his handles and the way he can shoot the ball. But what I noticed this weekend was the way that he picked and chose his opportunities. He could have scored 30, I don’t know. What I do know is I saw a well rounded guard that can facilitate and create.

show when he led his team to an epic comeback win. I can’t let that happen again. He can absolutely groove his jumper and get hot. And when he does, watch out. Allen could put on a show in Ft. Wayne.

game. His team was struggling against size and not shooting well. I got up and meandered around the gym to come back and see Allen got hot and took over. To the tune of about 25 points. And more importantly, a huge team win. Allen can flat out play, and can shoot AND facilitate.

Allen continues to improve and it’s fun to watch. As a freshman he was a shooter. As a sophomore and junior, he became a high IQ shooter and a solid passer. Now, from what I saw in June, he’s much improved with his athleticism and playmaking. Allen can shoot still, but he can also find space and attack from mid range or finish at the rim.

One of the best catch-and-shoot threats at the Grit Region Finals, Allen was on fire from beyond the arc for The Academy Black. He has excellent footwork on the perimeter, can get his shot off in tight windows, and can make them on the move. Allen knocked in five three-point shots in one of the games that we watched over the course of the weekend.

is a player that coaches and scouts need to see. His jumper can be game changing. He has a quick release and no prep dribble off the catch. Allen is a fearless shooter that shoots with confidence, and deservedly so. He looks more comfortable in the open floor and using his athleticism which is a dangerous proposition for opponents.

This prospect from Chelsea High School in Michigan can get hot in a HURRY from three-point range. Now standing 6’0″-6’1″, Allen went on a three-point flurry against EG10 in a big win and was consistently among the leaders of The Academy Black as they went 3-1 at The Stage. Not only can Allen really shoot it, but he flashed some sneaky athleticism and creative finishing ability around the basket.
