Below are five prospects of note at the Power Forward position in New England's Class of 2028.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571883' first='Oli' last='Higgins']

A 6'7" forward from Brewer, Higgins made an immediate impact in the MPA averaging a near double-double with 11.0 points and 9.5 rebounds per game. He has impressive length, moves well laterally, and shows the ability to be a game-changer defensively around the rim. Like a lot of young post prospects, he'll need to add strength and fill out his frame, but that should come with time. He does a nice job of finishing around the rim, has a variety of finishing moves in the post, and even shows some comfort shooting the ball out to the three point line.

[player_tooltip player_id='2569689' first='Elijah' last='Cornell']

A 6'6" forward from Stonington, Cornell intrigues as a stretch forward that can really shoot the ball. He continues to grow into his frame, while appearing to still have some growing left to do, and shows the ability to make shots from all over the floor. He moves fluidily, does a nice job of being shot ready on the catch, and, with his size, is able to get his jumper off over most defenders. He has a good IQ as a decision maker, is a willing ball mover, and can finish with length at the rim. As he gets stronger, he should grow into a versatile defender with the ability to guard up and down a position.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571920' first='Evan' last='Seitz']

A 6'6" forward from St. Luke's, Seitz has the ability to score at all three levels while also impact the game as a versatile defender. With his combination of postional size, length, and mobility, he does a variety of things on the defensive end of the floor, including rebounding at a high level and protecting the rim from the help side. Offensively, he makes shots from behind the arc, both as a pop guy in ball screens and in catch and shoot situations. He's also capable of scoring in the post, showing the ability to turn over either shoulder and finish with soft touch around the rim.

[player_tooltip player_id='2832789' first='KhyRen' last='Jones']

A 6'4" forward from Williston Northampton, Jones stands out with his physicality, defensive toughness, and ability to impact games with his athleticism. He has broad shoulders and a big, physical frame, which he uses to his advantage around the rim on both ends of the floor. Defensively, he has the ability to guard up and down a lineup as he moves well laterally, has nice explosion around the rim, and plays with great effort when guarding the ball. Offensively, he can get downhill off the bounce, has a nose for the ball on the offensive glass, and can make plays around the rim with either hand.

[player_tooltip player_id='2571925' first='Lucas' last='Short']

A 6'5" forward from North Quincy, Short is a versatile offensive performer that can play around the rim or on the perimeter. He's an above the rim athlete that finishes plays with authority in space, does a nice job of attacking the rim in transition, and makes plays for others off the bounce. On top of that, he's an efficient perimeter shooter that shot over 40% from behind the arc in his first year in the MIAA. His burst off the bounce, combined with his ability to shoot the basketball, makes him one of the toughest covers in this class. Defensively, he does a nice job of rebounding in space, makes plays in passing lanes that lead to turnovers, and can defend multiple positions.
