2027 PG [player_tooltip player_id='2366206' first='Jeremiah' last='Slaughter'] | Council Bluffs Lincoln

Slaughter has been one of the most productive 2027s in the state to start the spring, coming off a really good sophomore season for the Lynx. With three of the top four scorers from last year's team graduated, CBAL will be Slaughter's team as a junior, and this will be a chance for him to showcase just that. A skilled ball-handler and playmaker, and a high-level shotmaker, he averaged 10.8 points and shot just under 44% from behind the arc last season.

2026 SG [player_tooltip player_id='1978130' first='Hudson' last='Lorensen'] | ADM

One of the state's elite scorers, Lorensen is a remarkably efficient three-level scoring threat who doesn't force anything, letting the game come to him and scoring in bunches. He's a high IQ guard who shoots it at a really high clip from anywhere.

2026 PG [player_tooltip player_id='1978115' first='Trey' last='Bryte'] | ADM

A stat-sheet stuffing guard who is a nightly triple-double threat for the Tigers, Bryte is a high IQ lead guard who loves to get his teammates involved. He has good size as a lead guard at 6-4, sees the floor well, and is a gifted passer.

2026 PG [player_tooltip player_id='1765518' first='Jude' last='Gibson'] | Ballard

One of the fastest players in the state with the ball in his hands, Gibson thrives in ball screen actions, turning the corner and getting to the bucket with ease off the dribble. He has a great first step and does a nice job changing speeds and directions to keep defenders off balance.

2028 PG [player_tooltip player_id='2446123' first='Carsen' last='Gary'] | Cedar Falls

Gary is one of the most talented guards in the state's 2028 class. He's a high IQ, quick, and tough guard who is willing to do whatever his team needs from him. He's a scrappy on-ball defender, talented passer who sees the floor well, and is a really good shooter off both the dribble and the catch.

2026 SG [player_tooltip player_id='2023719' first='Will' last='Wehr'] | Prairie

Wehr has been an absolute flamethrower to start the spring with [program_tooltip program_id='2246861' first='Murray' last='Elite'], routinely putting up massive numbers and shooting it ridiculously well from the 3-point line. He has a pure stroke, moves exceptionally well without the ball in his hands, and has a lightning quick release.

2027 SG [player_tooltip player_id='2419791' first='Austin' last='Joens'] | Prairie

Another Prairie Hawk with a quick release, unlimited range, and the ability to get scorching hot from the 3-point line, Joens has been a really productive player through his first two years with the Hawks and is primed to take another leap as a junior-to-be.

2026 CG [player_tooltip player_id='2731790' first='Noah' last='Martens'] | Dowling Catholic

Martens has quickly become one of my favorite guards in the state to watch. He's a tenacious defender, scrappy defender, and a versatile all-around offensive weapon who can score, facilitate, and knock down shots off the catch.

2027 PG [player_tooltip player_id='2114707' first='Karson' last='Rains'] | Linn-Mar

A high IQ guard who handles it well, knows how to get to his spots, and can finish through contact against bigger defenders, Rains is going to step into a big role with the Lions as a junior and he looks like he's ready to take that responsibility.

2028 PG [player_tooltip player_id='2523928' first='Vasaun' last='Wilmington'] | North Scott

One of the top 2028 guards in the state, Wilmington is an elite ball-handler and playmaker who sees the floor incredibly well. He plays with pace, has really good footwork, and is a good on-ball defender despite his smaller stature. Once he gets a bit of a growth spurt, watch out.

2026 PG [player_tooltip player_id='1978110' first='Jaishon' last='White'] | Waukee

White is a quick, strong guard who loves to use his speed and physicality to play downhill and get to the rim off the dribble. He finishes through contact with either hand, is a talented passer, and uses his quick feet and hands to impact the game on the defensive end.

2026 PG [player_tooltip player_id='1765539' first='Max' last='Roach'] | Waukee

Roach is a talented ball-handler who shoots it really well off the dribble, getting the ball into his shooting pocket quickly off the bounce and elevating into his shot. He does a nice job utilizing the threat of his shot to open up the rest of his offensive game, attacking hard closeouts with an aggressive attack of the rim.

2028 PG [player_tooltip player_id='2478747' first='Nash' last='Kooken'] | Waukee Northwest

Kooken has had a ridiculously good start to the spring with [program_tooltip program_id='2270834' first='Iowa' last='United'], leading to an offer from Oregon. An elite shooter both off the dribble and the catch, he can change the game in a hurry with his shotmaking and ability to draw so much attention to himself and open things up for his teammates.
