Playing as a freshman at a school like Cedar Falls is quite the accomplishment on its own, and Gary did just that last season, contributing off the bench for the Tigers on both ends of the floor. He’s a high IQ, quick guard who doesn’t shy away from contact. He’s a good on-ball defender who moves his feet well, and he’s a skilled passer. He averaged 2.7 points and 1.2 assists on 54-43-73 shooting as a freshman and will be a key contributor as a sophomore.

A skilled lead guard with great court vision and instincts, Gary loves to get his teammates involved, putting them in great positions on the offensive end. He has good size at this point, listed above 6-feet, and that additional size advantage gives him unimpaired vision against many of those defending him. He can knock down shots from deep off the dribble and the catch, and he competes on the glass on both ends of the floor.
