Bettendorf could be a sleeper team in 4A this season with their top four scorers returning, including Brown. He had a solid sophomore year, averaging 5.2 points and 1.2 assists on 44-40-88 shooting splits, and he’ll pair with senior Michael Gordon Michael Gordon 6'0" | SG Bettendorf | 2027 State IA to give the Bulldogs one of the best backcourts in the class this season. He thrives in ball screen actions, turning the corner and getting downhill or knocking down shots after stepping behind the screen.

A skilled offensive threat that thrives as a shooter and facilitator. Knocked down multiple 3’s in mid afternoon game on Saturday off the bounce or off catch. Converted on a challenging up and under scoop layup underneath vs more size. Has a balanced and confident demeanor in shot selection. His feel and awareness within team’s system makes an immediate impact. Team has a talented group of seniors but he’ll be the main show in two years to go to while also being a highly valuable asset this year as a junior.

A talented ball-handler and playmaker who puts his teammates first, Brown does a great job putting his teammates in positions to succeed with his ability to create off the dribble and get the defense to collapse on him. He’s great in the mid-range and has a really nice floater that he uses to score over bigger defenders, but his biggest asset is his vision and passing instincts.

Brown was one of the top lead guards in the gym on Saturday, in complete command of the offensive attack at all times. He handles the ball really well, has exceptional vision, and does a great job playing with pace and changing speeds to keep his defender off balance. He shoots it at a really high clip off both the dribble and the catch and understands the game at a level rivaled by few in his class.

Brown is a talented ball-handler and playmaker who puts constant pressure on opposing teams with his ability to create off the dribble. He’s in complete control of the game when he has the ball in his hands and is equally adept as a scorer and a facilitator.

Brown is a quick, athletic guard who thrives in ball screen actions. He can turn the corner and get to the bucket, pull up and shoot, or find the open man on a roll or pop. He has great vision and a really good feel for the game, playing with pace and changing speeds well. He’s a good finisher at the rim with either hand and he can create plays off the dribble for his teammates.
