We are only about halfway through the action here at the Prep Hoops Queen City Clash on Saturday, but we have already seen enough high-level basketball to highlight several top performers. The morning set of games at the Queen City Sportsplex featured multiple national, four-star prospects, several other prospects with multiple Division I offers, and many competitive games. Before we get into the evening action let's take a break and highlight some of the top individual prospects that we got eyes on early in the day on Saturday.

Claxton's shot-making ability always stands out. The 5'10" guard was able to operate against the size and athleticism of Wildcat Select 3SSB 17u on Saturday afternoon knocking in three three-point shots for [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] 17u. He also led his team in scoring on Friday night with 23 points in an impressive win over VIP Kings 17u.

Combs was the early catalyst for Wildcat Select 3SSB 16u as they jumped out to an early 8:00 a.m. lead and never looked back. The versatile 6'6" wing used his strength and physicality to score inside while his athleticism shined in transition. It is easy to see why he is a highly ranked prospect in Kentucky's Class of 2027 that should continue to rise in the coming years.

One of the top guards in the state of Ohio, Drexler went off for 30 points as [program_tooltip program_id='2673282' first='Ohio' last='Basketball Club'] 17u defeated [program_tooltip program_id='2076263' first='NOVA' last='Village'] - Brown 17u early in Saturday's action. The 6'0" left-handed guard showcased some impressive shot-making ability while also getting paint touches consistently off of the dribble. He has a sneaky burst of athleticism and changes speeds with ease. Really impressive prospect that holds a couple of in-state mid-major offers.

High-level shooters are always in style and this 6'3" guard from New Albany High School in Ohio has some serious catch-and-shoot ability. Ford connected on six three-point shots in [program_tooltip program_id='2076263' first='NOVA' last='Village'] - Brown 17u's loss on Saturday morning to a very talented Wildcat Select 3SSB 17u squad. He has great footwork on the perimeter, a quick release, and serious range.

A super athletic 6'3" guard from Trinity High School in Louisville, Gilvin was excellent while playing up a year for VIP Kings 17u against Wildcat Select 3SSB 17u. He wasn't bothered at all by their size, athleticism, and quickness on his way to scoring a team-high 19 points. Gilvin is a smooth outside shooter with a real pop of athleticism when he attacks the basket.

Ranked as a Top 5 prospect in the Prep Hoops Ohio Class of 2027 Prospect Rankings, Gunther displayed his explosiveness in the backcourt for Wildcat Select 3SSB 16u on Saturday morning. Gunther is the definition of a point guard. He controls the game with his ball handling, court vision, and calming presence offensively. No amount of ball pressure can get him sped up. The Ursuline High School product holds multiple mid-major offers.

A four-star, Top 20 prospect in the Class of 2026, Kinney is considered one of the top point guards in the country. He is incredibly shifty, displays outstanding body control while paying through contact, and shot it well on his way to 21 points in Wildcat Select 3SSB 17's morning win over the VIP Kings 17u. Kinney backed it up with 12 more points in an afternoon blowout as well.

Sims was one of the bright spots for [program_tooltip program_id='2076166' first='Grand' last='Park Premier'] 17u as they ran into a buzzsaw against Wildcat Select 3SSB 17u on Saturday afternoon. The 6'0" guard from Pendleton Heights High School in Indiana had a couple of tough finishes against interior size and knocked down a couple of three-point shots to lead his team with 12 points. Sims scored 20 points in a win on Friday.

One of the top Class of 2027 prospects in the state of Kentucky, Starks has really started to garner national attention and is now considered a four-star, Top 50 prospect. The 6'8" left-handed forward was dominant around the basket consistently finishing with both hands and controlling the game defensively as well. Starks finished with 17 points in an 8:00 a.m. win for Wildcat Select 3SSB 16u.

You can't discount the production that Stohon brings to the table. There might be other more highly ranked prospects on this Wildcats Select 3SSB 16u team, but for the second straight game it was Stohon that shined in the box score. The versatile 6'5" forward finished with 23 points to start the day with a victory.
