That added size along with the edge he was playing with allowed him to consistently seal defenders to create easy angles for entry passes. Showed the ability to power his way to the rim for strong finishes, whether from the block or off an offensive rebound. In both games I saw, Colin was working hard on the glass, showed he can move his feet to defend screens out on the perimeter, and hustled up and down the floor. Had one of the highlights of the weekend as he sprinted back on defense and blocked a dunk right at the rim.

It didn't matter that Ray was playing up at the 17u level, defenders just couldn't contain him 1v1 in the paint. Against a [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] team that was able to put length on him, Ray was still strong enough to back his way down into deep position and finish over the top with a baby hook. Even flashed the ability to turn over his right shoulder and finish with the left when his man overcommitted. Ray was active on the offensive glass, and showed the vision to face-up out of the high post and zip in a pass to a cutting teammate.

Carter immediately catches your eye as he stands at a staggering 6'10, but his shooting touch is what sets him apart from other bigs. All weekend long Carter had success popping out to the perimeter, and knocking down threes off the catch at a high percentage. Wasn't a big back-to-the-basket threat in the games I watched, but showed good mobility at his size which helped him slide into position to alter/block shots around the rim, or slide his feet to hedge screens out on the perimeter. Really intriguing prospect with his combination of size, mobility, and shooting touch.

Kenny had a dominant first half on both ends in Friday night's win for [program_tooltip program_id='2075496' first='Grassroots' last='Sizzle']. He was simply overpowering defenders, starting off by pulling in an offensive rebound and going right back up, and then following that up by catching on the block, taking a power-dribble to get deep position, and then finishing over the top. Defensively he showcased good timing getting off the floor to block a couple of shots, and did a nice job of clearing out space with a box-out when rebounding. Physical presence with the type of strength not many guys at 6'8 can match.

Playing alongside some talented guards, Tommy was a threat out of the pick & roll. He has wide shoulders and a strong frame that allowed him to set hard screens and free up space for his guards. From there he was rolling hard to the hoop, showing the coordination to catch and finish on the move. One of those plays resulted in a one handed dunk, showing his ability to get off the floor quickly at 6'6. Helped lead Hoop Habits Elite 16u to a 3-1 record over the weekend.

Luther was an energizer off the bench for Team FSA. The Totino-Grace forward changed games when he came in, fighting for every rebound and loose ball, sprinting up the floor each possession, and showing he can defend a variety of spots on the floor. His strength helped him finish with efficiency in traffic, but even without getting many looks he was having a big impact on the game. He's someone who's going to come in and give 100% every minute he's on the floor.

Also a talented baseball prospect, Kevin showed some impressive flashes of post-footwork for [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select']. He has the ability to get defenders in the air with an up-and-under move, leading to an easy finish at the rim. He moves better than most guys at 6'7+, helping him beat opposing bigs up the floor in transition. Always showed potential over the past few years with his athleticism and quickness getting off the floor, and is now starting to produce with more consistency for [program_tooltip program_id='2075685' first='Minnesota' last='Select'] and Eagan.
